The staff at Pet Dr knowingly lied to me concerning the ashes of my dog they had euthanized about 3 weeks earlier. They called to say my dog's ashes were ready, but once I picked up the wooden box and got home there were no ashes inside. When I called the office to inform them, they said they would check with the cremation company (*************) and get back with me. About 2 hours later, a staff member from Pet Dr called and said "I'm so sorry, I feel so bad about this but the lady that gave you the wooden box took it from the back before I had a chance to put the ashes in it." She then proceeded to tell me that she had the ashes in a plastic bag at the office for me and that I could come by and pick them up. I thought this sounded odd because I assumed that ************* would have put the ashes in the box. I called ************* to inquire about the process. While I was waiting on a call back from them I received another call from Pet Dr, this time from someone else (who was at home due to being out sick) This lady told me that there had been a huge mistake and that my dog had been cremated communally and her ashes had been spread by *************. When I told her that I had just spoken with someone at the office who said she had the ashes for me and had just forgotten to put them in the wooden box, she said that person did not tell the truth...there were no ashes and that if there had been then ************* would have put them in the wooden box. Shortly after getting off the phone with this lady, the first lady who had lied to me called back and said "My manager just called me and I'm sorry. I got nervous and didn't know what to say." I was given a refund for the disposal of my dog.

************ chose to lie to me, misrepresent ashes as my dog's and attempt to deceive me by saying they had "forgotten to put my dogs ashes in the wooden box." It's very disgusting, unethical, and downright unbelievable.
