I was given a form at the dealership informing me that they would be selling my information to their affiliate marketing partners. there was no way for me to opt out of this. I even complained to the sales *** at the dealership about it. saying it was not right and I should be able to opt out if I wanted to and it was a privacy violation. He said I could opt out and then I showed him the form. there was no way for me to opt out. He shrugged like he didn't know and I asked if I needed to sign it in order the buy the car, and he said yes. So I signed the form because I needed a car. this can not be legal. please look into this. I am getting scam mail that I knew I was going to get after buying a new car that I said I didn't want. dealerships should legally give customers a way to opt out of market advertising by them and third parties.

      *****

Thank you very much for your business. We do understand the concern for your privacy and there are certain things we share for everyday business purposes and there are certain things that we do not share. For example things for everyday business purposes that we share to our affiliates who need for approving a loan or titling your car. Example below among a few others. I have also attached the privacy notice for your review which will review federal law and your rights

Sharing information to lenders for your loan

      sharing information to credit bureaus

sharing information to the state for titling information

sharing with our affiliates about your transaction and experience with us

We DO NOT  share with nonaffiliates to market to you

If you are referring to emails from us we can opt you out or you can opt out of marketing using the opt out at the bottom of emails

I hope this helps and if you need further information or have any more concerns please reach out me

I purchased a 2019 Passport along with the windshield replacement warranty. I brought my car into the service department with the cracked windshield. The service tech took pictures, looked up my account, confirmed the windshield replacement plan and told me they would submit the claim and call me the following week. Recieved no call. Called and left messages that were never returned. Took me over a month to get a hold of the service tech who told me they could not process my claim and that I needed to contact the finance department to get my contract number. Called finance, got my contract number. Finance officer assured me that if I got my repairs done at the Round Rock dealer the service department would submit the claim, but he would follow up with the service department and call me back the next day. One month later I have not received a call back and he has not returned my emails or calls. Called the service department again to follow up with the contract info. Was told I had to talk to sales. ***** said I had to talk to finance (again). Still have not gotten a return call from finance. I have been trying to get the windshield fixed for 3 months and no one will take responsibility and no one will return my calls.

We should have looked more into this and responded better to your needs.  I have looked into and you do have a valid windshield claim and our service manager will reach out shortly and get this handled. I am sorry we put you through this hassle but we will handle.
