Additional Information for Mike LaFoy

In December, 2018 BBB investigated Mike LaFoy, Landscape Contractor. This investigation was prompted by a growing volume of complaints and consumer inquiries. Mr. LaFoy went door-to-door collecting money up front promising to trim trees, cleaning up property of consumers and laying sod. His pattern from the complaints filed and consumer reporting reflected that he did not return to complete the jobs after he was paid.

Consumers furnished us with a copy of a contract. Consistantly, work to be completed was paid for and not completed. In some cases, money was collected in advance for the jobs and no work was done. Promises were made to consumers to refund their money, but in all instances the money was not refunded.

During phone calls with Mike LaFoy, verbal promises were make to the BBB to take care of the issues, however, he did not follow through on any of the promises.

In January, 2019 the BBB sent a letter to Mr. LaFoy calling to his attention that his business practices were not in the public interest and requesting that he refund promised money to the many consumers.

As of March 15, 2019 BBB has exhausted all forms of contact to the business and they have remained unresponsive. Consumers with outstanding concerns are still encouraged to file a complaint for BBB records or contact the San Angelo Police Department.

Recent calls to the BBB indicate that Mr. LaFoy is using a new name of RAM Services. The phone number that consumers have furnished is the same number as Mike LaFoy, landscape contractor.
