Sometime around December 28, 2022 my wife and I contacted America Air Duct Cleaning about sending a worker to clean out our dryer vent pipe. They called my wife that the worker coming out was ******. The worker came to our door and told us that he was ******. Later we was told by our long time appliance repair office that we were overcharged for the job which was in an one story house. I tried two times to contact the company by their email and they did not return my messages. I will be 81 next month and my wife is 73. At our ages we have lot of medical bills to pay with a fixed retired teacher incomes. We feel that they took advantages of two elderly citizens. We were expected to pay around $99.00 for the job. ****** told us that America Air Duct Cleaning will send us paper work on the job. He did not give us a receipt for the check I entered below the prices America Air Duct Cleaning charge for such jobs. It is clear that we were charged more than what they charge for an Air Duct Cleaning.I am also sending you a copy of the check # *** and Deposited in the bank on January 9, 2023. ****** told ua if we used a credit card, the job would be 3% more. I thought that I saw on America Air Cleaning Web site that they took all major credit cards. Also, you can see that nobody put name on the check endorsement. Also lt was in America Air Duct Cleaning that there were bad Actors in the field.Business response

To everyone involved.
My name is *** and im the owner of America Air Duct Cleaning.
First I'd like to apologize for the customer experience and I truly believe every feedback is important and unfortunately we can learn only from bad experience how to become better however I have zero tolerance for feedback based on making up stories regardless the age.
First I have try personally to reach the customer multiple times and no one unsure when they did unsure (young women say is wrong number) btw all the call are recorded if needed.
The basic dryer vent does cost $90 but if the technician found any air flow that cannot be improved by basic cleaning he informed the customer by telling them what he think need to be done and it is they decision if to do it or nor off course after he go over the needed process and the extra charge.
My technician went on the roof did everything by the book and that's what is the extra charge the customer approved.
If someone or any appliances technician thinks otherwise it doesn't mean we took advantage on no body.
We did provide the customer invoice I'll attach here please make sure the date is matching also the customer email and off course his signature.
The attached file the customer attach is not from our company the BBB team can investigate it.
I really don't think we deserve this feedback specifically when we try to reach out many times if there was a reason we would take care of that like we did many times before .
I have attached 3 file and adding my personal phone number if someone would like to reach out .
