Allen Wrench broke through our sewer line when installing a fence post. After multiple attempts to even get a response from the owner, ****, they refused to come out and survey the damage or accept responsibility. We had a camera test done and photographs provided to them showing the exact location of the damage directly below where they installed their fence post and they refused to acknowledge or discus the issue with us further. Do not do business with these people.

DON'T! Estimates will be very vague and he will leave details out of the original scope of work to give an estimate you think is covering all the work. Then as that work gets completed, he will create a change order or a new estimate (or try to find reasons to get a change order or new estimate out of you) to include the remainder of the work you thought you had already originally agreed to in the original estimate. When you go back and look at the original estimate and start asking questions, he will credit back something to make it look like he made an honest mistake, but he's not going to credit back the overhead charges he added into the change order/additional estimate. This is a family business and they will quickly throw it in your face how you praised the work being done, but will ignore the times you made mention of something not being met to your standards. They will throw the 'industry standards' around like it's going out of style, even though you did not agree to minimum industry standards when you hired them. They will be happy to take your money for high end work, but give you low end quality that 'looks good'. They used shark bites for plumbing work in my shower where I will not have access to them, like a toilet or sink. Shark bites are approved for 'industry standards', but had I known they were going to use them inside my wall work, I would not have accepted it. I discovered this after looking closer at the pictures I had taken of the pipe work before they closed up the shower wall. Now I will have to remove the hardiebacker they just installed or the drywall from the other side in order to rectify their short cutting methods. They subcontract and will blame the subcontractors for anything you are not happy about and not take any responsibility for their deficiencies. They did not do the research about permits for the siding they replaced either so now I am getting permits to get inspections to find out if their work really is 'up to code' or not.
