San Antonio Outdoor Living, ran by a ***************************** I believe, swindled my family out of about two thousand dollars. I contracted with SAOL for a simple pavilion and restroom addition to my pool decking area. This project had an expected four month timeline, which quickly grew to 11 months before we had to kick him off the property for dangerous and poor business practices. He left a pile of trash on my property for about 10 of those 11 months. I couldn't get him to clean it up nor could I get him to finish the project. The restroom that he built isn't within code, as evidenced by the dimestore job he did to seal the room from rain water leakage under the wall. Several items were installed with absolutely no technical skill behind it. The sink, the toilet, the lights installed in the Soffit area, all of them had to be readdressed by a competent business to repair, and of course these came out of pocket. He stole $300 on the pretense that he would install stone skirts around the uprights, meh, I never saw that again, nor him.***** are supposed to have a 2x6 studs to hold up a barrel tile roof. This guy used 2x4s instead of the 8x8 piece that he should have used to hold up that corner of the restroom. I suspect that this will eventually come down, and I'm waiting to drop criminal charges in the event that causes any harm. This guy is a *****, he should never be allowed to operate a business.

********************. You have acted in a deceitful manner, with multiple excuses and reasons why you have not been able to deliver what was agreed upon. On May 12, 2022. You came to our household and agreed to deliver a Cabana and Landscaping. We signed a contract with you for the amount of $25,800.00. You immediately collected a $5,000.00 deposit and agreed to deliver our product in the next few days. You deposited our money the following morning to your account at ************** ACC # *********. We made several attempts to work with you. In multiple occasion you gave us dates and did not deliver. You promised us the construction was going to start immediately and this did not happen. You gave us the excuse that you and your employees had contracted COVID, and this was the reason why you did not answer our calls. You came to our home in two separate occasions empty handed. The last time we spoke with you was on Wednesday June 1, 2020, and you promised us that the construction would begin in two days. The time once again as before with your promises came and went. Today, after multiple calls and unreasonable excuses you told me that you were in ***** dealing with car trouble and could not come to our home as agreed.

***************************** owner of San Antonio outdoor living is Fraud and Thief he took over 10K of our family's money for our patio outdoor kitchen. He did less than half of the work and took off with our money. We hired him on April 29, 2021 and gave him $5,000 dollars for a deposit. And It's been over 1 year since we hired him and still it has not been finished. Does not answer phone calls and is full of excuses. Stay far away from this company and read other website reviews. He is a "sweet talker" and knows how to convince his victims to give him money. ***************************** is a thief and has stolen tens of thousands of dollars from many families in San Antonio and beyond. He left a BIG Mess in our backyard and tore up our concrete from our patio for a gas line and water line that was never installed. It is now going to cost us thousands of dollars to hire another company to finish the job and clean up the big mess he left behind. I find it odd that on San Outdoor Living Face book page there are no reviews from satisfied customers. Save yourself the head ache and go elsewhere. I have filed a police report. This company needs to be held accountable and ****** needs to be stopped.

On December 5th 2021 we contracted San Antonio Outdoor Living with a $5,0000 deposit at signing, ran by ***************************** to build an outdoor fire place, extend and stamp concrete, extend our outdoor kitchen to include granite countertops and fridge, build a concrete deck casing for an outdoor swim spa, put in a small putting green and some river rock along the side of the home, and two sets of French doors at least 8 feet in height to match all the doors in the house, one was to come off the master bedroom leading to the spa, the other was to replace the existing rear door. The entire project to include the price of the spa was $70,000, and the project according to ****** would take six weeks, two months tops. The projected took off fast, ****** took an initial advance of $20,000 for material and labor everything was going great, on December 24th when ****** asked for another advance of $20,000 with everything going ahead of schedule my wife and I assumed that everything would be fine, we thought that we still had $25,000 to pay at the completion of the project. Then came the time for the spa, now ****** said that he was unable to cover the cost of the spa. We paid for the spa, which was the remaining balance of the contract. Since that point, we have been lucky to get anyone out to our house maybe once a week. Nothing is complete, everything is mostly done with the exception of the doors which have not been started, I refused to allow him to bring in the cheap 6-foot doors, they were not the correct height. ****** avoids answering calls and texts, when I spoke of a possible lawsuit, we were able to get some activity but that has fallen off and I no longer have the patience to deal with the situation. I honestly don't know if he has money issues and has used our money to complete other jobs, has too many jobs and not enough workers, or is just apathetic. Two months ago, I asked ****** to refund half the money, and I would go find someone who has the time to complete

****** from San Antonio Outdoor Living has failed, after multiple attempts to communicate with him, and promises made to complete warranty work on plantings and porch railings installed, to reply or follow through with work. Metal porch railings installed have snapped at the weld, causing a safety hazard. Railings built for outdoor use with metals that rust. Two *********************** trees planted were the wrong color as well. Multiple attempts to connect to get these fixed have gone with minimal response and placating answers, but no follow through.

We hired San Antonio Outdoor Living to build a covered pergola, outdoor kitchen with appliances, electrical work, repair sprinkler system from pool installation, and landscaping for backyard. We have paid the original contract in full and only have a few thousand dollars left in cost overruns for higher lumber costs, etc, left to pay and nothing for our project has been completed at all. The pergola has not been completed, the wood on top needs to be trimmed so all boards are same length, the cedar needs to be sealed and the cover needs to be put on. The last someone was here to work on the pergola was in November 2021 (5 mos ago). The outdoor kitchen needs the appliances set, the trash compactor is still missing, the sink is not hooked up, the gas grill is not hooked up, the trim needs to be completed around appliances. The last someone was here to work on the kitchen was in December 2021 (over 4 mos ago). The sprinkler system repairs from pool installation need to be completed, someone came out and dug up some wires and left, no one has been back since. We complained to ****** and he said someone would be out the next week and no one has come. Have not even been able to address the putting in any landscaping as we havent even gotten as far as getting the sprinkler system done. We paid the balance of $36,850 to San Antonio Outdoor Living back in Dec ********************************************** full. We would still owe approx $5-6k in cost overruns from increase in costs for supplies, but will not pay that until the work is done, which is what we told ********************* in Dec 2021. Since Dec 2021 we have not seen ****** at our property. We had to pay someone else to install the ceiling fans, which was part of the contract, and are having to start to look to hire other contractors to finish the projects as ****** is not showing any good faith efforts to come to our home and complete the work per our contract with him. He is not even returning our messages anymore.

On 11/19 2021 I contracted with Outdoor Living San Antonio, LLC. for an outdoor kitchen. He told me he would have eight men out and it would take three weeks. In one more week it will 4 months and the project is still not completed. I unfortunately have paid 90% of the total job cost. When the stone was set for the kitchen his workers left a pile of stone, sand and cement mix next to my drive. It sat there for weeks and after calling and getting no results I paid $200 to have it hauled off. *********** never complete a project in a timely manner. They would start and then disappear. The electrician says hes coming then doesnt show up. I waited 3 straight days for him. When he did come he said he didnt have enough wire for the job and he would be back. After 3 weeks of this I now have a partially wired kitchen but it still is not hooked up to my breaker box. My yard is torn up and conduit lays on the ground, its a mess. I have no idea when he will be back so I picked up all the large rocks he dug out of the ground and got rid of them. *************************** that did the roof build out where better but it still took several weeks and they left a pile of wood that now has been laying in my yard for over a month, getting no help to clean it up from Outdoor Living I cleaned it up myself. Over 2 months ago a man came out and made a template for the granite counter top and thats the last I saw of him. Outdoor Living is not returning my calls so really dont know what is going on. Obviously he robs ***** to pay ****. My money is probably already gone. I paid him $30,000 in 3 payments. The last payment was cashed on 01/04/2022.

San Antonio Outdoor Living, LLC (****** ********-Owner/Contractor) has failed to timely complete contracted work to build outdoor natural gas fire pit. See attached contract dated 12/23/21 for $5500. Contractor quoted all work as being a two day project. Project was initiated on 12/29/21 after payment of contracted $3000 down payment. Work stopped on 12/30/21 at approximately 50% completion. Contractor has not returned to complete any work since that date. However, Contractor attempted to obtain additional payment, which was not agreed to in the contract, and which I refused to pay. Contractor has been largely uncooperative and uncommunicative over the past eight weeks- ignoring numerous texts and phone calls. See attached timeline of phone calls and text messages. When the Contractor did occasionally respond, he made promises he subsequently did not keep. I attempted to visit the Contractor's office on 2/12/22 at the physical address listed on both his contract and his website to discuss this in person only to find out Contractor does not have an office at that address, or any other address that can be located via on-line search. That is certainly misleading to the public and may even be considered by the public as false advertising. Although the Contractor is unfortunately not a member of the BBB, I noted that there are previous complaints filed against him which you have been successful in bringing to some closure. Therefore, I am requesting the assistance of the BBB to bring about a timely resolution by way of full completion of all contracted work without further delay. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
