Hired Texas Best Movers on 3/02/24 to have my stuff moved to my new apartment. Guys did a good job but ended up breaking my 65 ******* curved tv. Called the company after the movers left to notify them and was told I would get a call from claims department. 2 weeks later have not heard from them. Called to see what happen and was told I would get a claim form thru email and never received or heard from anyone. We are now out of a tv and unable to replace it.Business response

Texas Best Movers provided the service for ********************* on 3/2.
************** contacted us a few days later letting us know that his TV was broken.
A Claim Form was sent to him " see attached jpg ".
Customer claims he never received it, another form was sent out. Customer did confirm he received this time.
After form is filled out and returned, we will evaluate and investigate incident.
If the claim has merit, it will be dealt with accordingly.

Texas Best Moving and Storage moved me to my new apartment on July 21 2022 and I received a call that their driver was hurt and was running late, but even though they new helpers were late I got moved. After looling through some of my stuff I relized that I was missing my accustic amp for my guitar and my 30 poung weight which my Dad had given me. I have called several times with no reply. I was sent to claims department and left my name and number and still I have not recieved a call back in regards to my missing items.Business response

Not sure about what ******************* about not being able to login? This message has confused me, as he would like to resolve with me, but can't login?

On June 29th Texas Best movers were supposed to arrive at my house on ******************* to pack and move. Prior to the 29th, I had called the number provided multiple times to reach someone to clarify when they would be at the house. I was finally able to get a hold of the dipatch, ****** at ************, the day of the move. They arrived around 10 a.m. due to some issue with the truck. They did not realize they needed to pack my house. I was in contact with the movers throughout the day but was needed at the hospital as my spouse was having surgery and was told by Texas Best when I called that they would be fine to take care of the entire move in one day and without me being at my original house. I left them with a stack of boxes to use before they charged me for any of their boxes. I spoke directly to the workers via cell phone about using the boxes and they assured me they would. I met the moving truck around 3 p.m. at the Magnolia house where I helped the movers unload the truck. We then settled up and I gave the workers a 20% tip but was confused about the amount of boxes used and asked again if they had used my boxes at the house. I was told they had. The next day I was unpacking my boxes and realized there was $500 missing from a teapot I had forgotten about that was in my kitchen. I immediately phoned the workers who told me they knew nothing about it. I phoned ****** who told me he would get back to me. I went to my old house and found it in complete disarray. Many cupboards were still packed with items, tape and all the boxes were on the floor unused and bottles of empty drinks and taco bags were lying around. The workers had not completely finished the job and did not leave the house tidy. The bathroom was completely intact. None of the boxes I'd set out were used. A hand-sewn cushion to my bench was lying in the front yard.I would like my tip and the charge for the boxes returned to me.Business response

I spoke with the BBB this morning and was asked to send another follow-up email regarding the claim. I reached out to **** from Texas Best Movers on the 15th of July and again on the 27th of July with no response. Below is the email I sent to ****:
Hello ****:
Thank you for responding to my claim. My address is Liberty *****
According to my records, I should be receiving a refund of at least $766. Please confirm when you mail the check.

First and foremost we apologize for any inconvenience including the Small items left behind by the movers as well as any trash from the move behind. We did already refund the $500 that was apparently misplaced during the move per the screenshot attached. However in order for us to insure wha we pack we must either provide or be provided with high quality moving boxes. Our movers did not feel your boxes met our standards and we used our. Therefore we are unable to provide a refund for the boxes we used on your move. Again we apologize for any inconvenience however we feel what weve done to rectify the situation is fair.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Hello -
I have received the communication from Texas Best Movers but it is not an acceptable response. They did not address the fact that they agreed to refund me for the tip and the boxes in their initial response through the BBB. The $500 they "refunded" was not a refund. Their workers stole $500 from my house. In addition, the boxes I left were UHaul boxes and was assured by the workers they were fine when I asked them about using them before they began packing. If they didn't feel they were sturdy enough, they would have said something at that time. I am requesting a refund of the tip and boxes from Texas Best Movers. If this is not resolved I would like to move on to small claims court or another way to rectify this situation.

Hi thanks for the message . Yes we did refund $500as you pointed out in the message and now your accusing us of stealing an additional $500 ? That is nuts not true we held up our end and did refund the $500
