This is a personal opinion based off of two different personal experience. Buyer beware for Superior Outdoor Design! On two occasions I have had Superior build a pergola for us. The first time was rocky to say the least. What we were told would take a week took nearly three. The carpenter on the job routinely showed up late, sat in his truck and milked the clock on his bosses time. The final straw was when the carpenter and his underage helpers were drinking beer on our patio before the job was even completed. We went off on the company owner who made it damn difficult to get in touch with him. They did compensate us by paying for part of the staining of the structure. At the time we chocked it up to Covid being hard on everyone and moved on. We went back to them a second time thinking everyone deserves a second chance. As it turns out, no, that’s just the way they do business. They pushed us to start the build right before Christmas saying it would be done in two days. We told them what we wanted, trusting in their ability to do their job. Apparently there was a miscommunication that I maintain was on there designers part. When we noticed the discrepancy we had them stop and fix it. The designer even told us it was his mistake and they will fix it. Then they told us they would be back on the job first thing Monday. Monday comes with no call, no show, all morning. We find out that afternoon the guys not coming because he’s still out of town. Glad I didn’t waste my day off sitting around with my parents visiting from the east coast.. oh wait I did. Look their product and warranty are great, there customer service and project management suck so bad that, In my opinion, it’s not worth the headache! Oh and every problem and issue we had they tried to make it sound like it was our fault alone.
