In March of 2022 I received seven collection statements from Account Resolution Associates regarding outstanding balances. I called and spoke to ******************************************* who told me the accounts were sent to collections in error due to upgrading their billing software. I was told that I have a zero balance on all of my accounts and not to worry about them. Two months later, I get notification through the credit agency that my credit score has been decreased by 100 points due to seven collection accounts from Account Resolution Associates. I have been trying to dispute each one but my credit score has been significantly impacted. I spoke with both companies today and both claim it is out of their hands because they have reported the balances have been paid in full. I told them the balances have not been paid in full because the balance was zero, I informed them that when it is reported as if "the balance is paid in full" suggests that I had a balance and I paid it. Both companies told it was out of their hands and I would have to speak with the credit agencies.I work very hard especially during this season of my life where everything is so costly. I take care of my mother alone with just my income and I pay all of my bills on time. To have this placed on my report and drop my score from excellent to fair is completely discouraging and infuriating.

I went to Hill Country Pain Associates on Oct 23, 2021 for a 3rd spinal injection for back pain. When I arrived at the ****** I was told in order to have the injection I would need to pay $207 for the procedure and $45 for my copay. I paid the $247 so I could have the 3rd injection. I was asked if I wanted HCPA to file on my insurance and I advised them yes. Humana paid the claim and it was transferred from insurance to HCPA on Nov 23, 2021. On Dec 2, I contacted HCPA about a refund for the money I had paid since my insurance had also paid. I talked with *********************** in the billing department *************, option 7, EXT 289). He told me I did have a refund of approximately $193.78 due to me and said if I didn't have a check by the end of December to call him back. I called on January 7 for **** and no one answered that line. I called back and talked to ******* and she transferred me to the supervisor's voice mail (*******) where I left a message for her to call me back. On Jan 13, I called and spoke with **** again (supervisor ******* never called me back). He advised his supervisor told him there was a backlog of refunds and her goal was to have them issued by January 14, 2022. It would then go to the accounting department to have a check issued and I should have a check in 2 weeks. On Feb 7, I called and left a call back for ****************. ********* from ******************** ****** called me and she had talked with **** about issuing me a refund. **** told her that couldn't be done because Humana could come back months or years later and want their money back and that it was against the law for them (HCPA) to issue me a refund and they could be finned for issuing a refund. I called Humana and talked with Malaika-she had not heard of anything like that. She contacted the doctor's ****** and got a recording and said she would keep trying to contact them and get back with me when she had talked to them.
