On Sat, Jun 17th, my wife treated me and my family to tacos from *** palapas for my father's day lunch. We ordered and asked for our military discount. Once we saw the bill, the prices of the pre-mixed ********* was wrong from the sign posted... the manager (older Hispanic man) said we had to pay the new price, because the sign was not updated. Then he went and charged our card the full price of the meal and margaritas, even after he asked me to show my military ID. Major fraud and deception at this restaurant.Initial Complaint

Las Palapas menu states in writing that Veterans with proper I.D. will receive a 25% discount. I had breakfast at *** Palapas - ******** on 15 June 2023 and my bill before taxes was $26.83. My military discount was calculated to be $2.40. $2.40is 8.9% of $26.83. 25% of $26.83 is $6.71. Las Palapas not calculating Veterans discounts correctly. Perhaps veterans go to Las Palapas thinking they are getting a 25% discount and have not done the math like I did. Request assistance in correcting this math problem so veterans get the 25% discount Las Palapas advertises - in writing - in their menu. First off, thank for serving our country, we really appreciate your commitment this country. Second, thanks for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We take pride in offering this Appreciation to our guests in the city know as Military City *** where we have had several 1000's of Transactions using this discount without any issues. Let's address your concern. The spirit of our program, the 25%off is our way of thanking you for your service to our community and country, it is a thank you to you and the 25% is off your meal not the entire ticket, this has been our program since we started some time ago. Our menu states: 25% off for veterans with proper id (for veterans only). Again, thank you for serving our country, we appreciated it. Please try this math approach when calculating your discount. EXAMPLE $10.00 ticket, discount would be $2.50.
