I signed up for a "42 day challenge" that was advertised on ******** as FREE. I arrived to an appointment and was charged $600 dollars. The reason I paid it was I felt embarrassed to say no because I did have the money but there was another individual sitting through this meeting. I felt pressured to sign up. I did not voice any challenges to the fee because I felt pressured by there being another individual sitting through this meeting.I also was enrolled into a membership by accident. I had mentioned to the owner that I was ready to "roll" to which he understood "enroll". He quickly seated me and whipped out a contract. Which I signed due to being in front of a whole class of practitioners. I had said the word "roll" because it means wrestle. Begginners are not allowed to wrestle but I was not a beginner. I was now getting billed $56 dollars per week! I had already been injured the second week of the 42 day challenge. I had asked if I could stall my contract while I recuperated. I got no response. Now I am trying to cancel my membership and it will cost me $500 dollars. There is no other way to cancel the contract. I have already spent $600 dollars on a free challenge. I paid $452 dollars for 2 months. And I completely lost the days that I had enrolled in the 42 day challenge because I was enrolled midway through the 42 day challenge. Many of these issues are due to feeling pressured by aggressive business methods. I am 56 years old and the system does not take into account that older folks are different. I now am getting billed 56 dollars per week because I cannot afford the $500 dollar termination fee. I will be turned over to collections by the end of the year for $2260. I have very good credit. My complaint is that I cannot get out of this contract even though I am injured and cannot afford to pay $226 dollars per month. I cannot stop the billing even though I am not going to class and have informed the owner that I cannot continue. If this issue needs to be resolved in court. I am going to contact a news agency for help.
