AA Automotive Defraud my teenage student daughter for $729.00 to fix a Toyota Corolla 2010 that had a firing problem or failed to accelerate. By promising to resolve the firing problem, but tricked my daughter and collected $110 for 1st diagnosis and a $509.00 labor charge only to flush the radiator and a thermostat switch. After the car was parked for 3 days claiming to be doing diagnosis. My daughter was called that her car was okay and I asked my daughter to ask for a warranty which they refused but gave her a verbal warranty with assurance that the car was good and there would be no problem again. My daughter went back to campus and could not use her car to lecture because the car was not firing. Because of lectures went back on Monday the following week after they failed to pick up her call after her first complaint that her car was not good and that she would bring back the car. My daughter managed to drive the car back to the automotive workshop and they told her that she would have to drop the car off for another diagnosis they kept the car for another 3 days and when she called the workshop they told her that she would pay $700.00 and $110.00 for the 2nd diagnosis charge at that point I knew that the work was fake so I asked my daughter to go and bring back the car to her campus but AA Automotive denied releasing the car to my daughter unless she pays $110 the 2nd diagnosis charge and my daughter was crying and was subjected to trauma. I called AA Automotive to please release my daughter's car but they hung up on me and my daughter was compelled to pay another $110 to take the car away from Automotive. It was later other students told my daughter about their experience with AA Automotive as a scam workshop mostly for teenage students around the area. So am requesting that AA Automotive business activist be investigated and I want my refund of $729.00 that was fraudulently taken from my daughter. See attached payment receipts made. Thanks, Emmanuel Jaja (Dad) Pls, protect my daughter's identity and privacy that appears on the receipts.

The intail visit on 09/20/2023 the customer had come from another shop with an issue with the thermostat . After talking with customer we agreed on diagnosing vehicle and would be calling customer with our findings . Upon inspecting coolant system  we found contamination of an oily substance in the antifreeze/ coolant system . We then reccomended to flush the coolant sytem and replacement of thermostat . After repair was complete technician test drove and issue was fixed .  At time of pick up we informed client the vehicle should be kept on a yearly schedule of flushing coolant system. Issue was fixed at this visit, customer left with no complaints.

The second visit 10/09/2023 customer came in to have a check engine light diagnosed. Customer was informed of the diagnostic charges as per shop protocol before vehicles are checked in.  Upon inspection we found vehicle to have a random misfire. At this time, we inspected spark plugs and found no electrode on the end of the spark plugs, this in turn means they needed to be replaced due to no electrode on ends of spark plugs to make proper combustion/ spark for engine firing. all four cylinders were misfiring at time of inspection. This item was declined to do repairs, explained to customer multiple times that engine misfire is a completely different issues than prior issues with coolant system. Customer then contacted her father over the phone and asked why we are not taking care of the car for them because we did not fix the problem After explaining to customer we would not be arguing over the issue and the diagnostic did need to be paid to pick vehicle up.  Customer declined to do the repair and pay charges. After the customer left, the father started calling to the business to harass employees and claim to be Houston sheriff's department and claiming to be on the way to arrest us if we did not release the vehicle. We were more than respectful when talking to him and only seemed to upset him and which he hung up and would call back to do the same.

Initial issue was fixed and second visit and issue on a separate occasion was diagnosed properly.
