I have two complaints against *************************** from Exxodus buildings. Firstly he completed a roof repair for me which still leaks. He did offer to fix it if I paid for materials but since then he has been ignoring my calls trying to reschedule it. Secondly I paid him a $3,000 deposit to by materials to replace a metal roof and he is now ghosting me, his phone number is disconnected and he is ignoring my emails. It turns out he also fraudulently made up his RCAT certificate. This company is a SCAM do not use

On December I was searching for assistance on a project to build a patio/gazebo and I found Exxodus Builders LLC. Multiple sites offered good reviews and I decided to try them. On Dec 14, 2022, I met ***************************** from Exxodus for a quote. I already had all the materials and I just needed labor. ****** agreed to do it for $2,000 and I jumped on this good offer. Since I already started the permits request from the city, I asked him if he was registered to work in ************* and he said the documents were submitted last week and was expecting approval this week. Sounded good to me, he was very courteous, and looked professional. He requested half of the cost to secure my place in his work list and gave me a receipt. The next day I received an email that he called contract. It looked unprofessional, but since I saw the truck with the companys logo and received a signed receipt I ignored the first sign. After checking the status of Exxodus Builders LLC registration multiple times, sharing the situation with ******, receiving information from the city of no registration documents for this company multiple times, and many excuses from ******, I decided to cancel our agreement and request my money back on Jan 04, 2023. ****** agreed to cancel and return my money on Friday, but didnt mention the time. From this point on I called him multiple times, texted him, and even my wife gave him an opportunity to contact us. However, ****** disappeared and kept my money. DO NOT TRUST ***************************** OR EXXODUS BUILDERS LLC. IF YOU NEED APPROVAL FROM THE CITY FOR YOUR PROJECT, DONT USE A COMPANY THAT IS NOT REGISTERED.

Hired Exxodus Builders to remodel my home. Exxodus Builders has not completed the home nor is responsive to Text, Email or Phone call. Exxodus Builders has been paid in full as of May 11, 2022. They have left my home incomplete and many areas dangerous for my six children. Exxodus builders used unqualified, unlicensed to perform work on my home which required licensed tradesman. I will now have to hire another company to complete the work.

In regards to the complaint. We made several attempts to finish. We are only responsible for what is in the contract. This is what has been the problem from the beginning. On the contract thier is no brick. The lights that you want us to install is not in contract. The only things that are left for us is the two walls for shower addition install door in restroom and tape and float those two small walls texture and painted. Its about a $700 dollar finish. This is what we're willing to go finish.

I am rejecting this response because: You stated "you made many attempts to finish" but to the contrary you told us several times that someone would be out to work and they never showed. I'm not certain if that's what you're referring to? Or are you referring to the one time someone showed up and we were not home. We had already told you we'd be switching the code to the door because we're moving our personal belongings in therefore would need to be present for you're team to come in. You admitted to us that one of your employees was a thief so we certainly don't feel comfortable with them coming and going as they please. That also was just once that someone showed up to work and they weren't able to get in. After that incident was two weeks of you stating someone would be there yet nobody showed. That was many missed days for myself or my wife missing work therefore losing money. In our defense we couldn't predict when your people would show up as that day was a day that was not expected.

Regarding what's left you built rooms in my garage, why wouldn't there be lights? You made holes for them in fact some even have lights in them they just don't work. So stating it's not in contract won't work. They're rooms they should have lights. I was told to purchase the exhaust vent for the restroom but that wasn't installed. I purchased the vanity for the addition restroom you put the plumbing in place you just never hooked up the vanity to the plumbing. Was there supposed to be a specific line item under addition restroom that's actually labeled hook up plumbing to vanity we install? Or when you construct rooms, restrooms some of those basic items are a part of that, that's my thought process at least. Areas your team made a mistake and put holes have also never been fixed. I would assume that would be part of the taping and floating process. Painting was also never completed in the addition restroom. You damaged a window you installed in the addition as well. You took out the exhaust vent in my master restroom to paint and never installed that. You also removed all the vent covers throughout the home and never put those back on. You never put the vent/duct covers in the addition. The contract states replace 6x4 mirror and trim in my restroom. To you does replace mean take out and you're done or take out one and put in another. To me it would be the latter. You never completed my closet in the contract where you stated (customer wants closet extras). I also don't see where the "Entertainment needs top cover built", your own words from your contract. You also didn't complete the outside wall. You're the one that stated it would look dumb so we should just go with brick. So we said we would do that instead. If you're trying to stay with the contract you never completed the board and ****** nor sealed it, nor sealed the windows on it, nor insulated that outside wall nor fixed the window your team damaged on that wall. Again though we just went with the brick idea after you stated the ****** wouldn't look good. In fact per many text messages we'll just refer together if you would to the one on June 10, 2022 at 4:55 pm "******** wants to know if he can go tomorrow so he can finish. He said he can also do brick Monday. I told him I would check with you first" I responded with "That's fine". You're discussing doing brick but now with BBB trying to state otherwise. This entire thing just confuses me.

You also were paid separate from the contract $750 to take care of additional lighting throughout the other parts of the home, outside of the addition. Most of that hasn't been completed. Your employees harassing my wife for payment to include tools they purchased for this job. We aren't responsible for buying tools yet my wife was tricked into it. You stated you would cover that because that should not have been charged to us and we haven't gotten that back either. Shady business if you ask me. I am the one to email text and call you last So im not sure where you've attempted to get this all resolved. This has cost me money in not being able to list my other home sooner due to needing this one completed to fully move into. It has cost me money waiting on your team to show up and never show making me or my wife miss work for nothing. It's unfortunate that I must deal with attorneys now to have this matter resolved. It's unfortunate that I've had to go to the county of ********* to file liens against your partners property. I wanted all this resolved and you do the job you were hired and paid in full to do. I've reached out to you and your partner with no response, so it isn't a lack of trying on my end.

      Regards,

I spoke to my electrician and he said all lights in addition were working when he was there. **** ******* from ******* Electrical said he made sure before he left customers were satisfied. I did send on two occasions groups to go finish. The last person that was there was ******** and he told me that all that was left to finish was as follows: install bathroom door. Tape and float two small walls were shower is located. they need to be textured and painted . he did tell me he needs to paint another coat behind vanity. this is the reason vanity is not connected. in regards to the top of entertainment and battons for outside wall customer has never bought material. I did speak to my guys and they are willing to go finish, they want to make sure all materials will be there. Please advise in a timely manner.

I am rejecting this response because: Regarding the lighting that is incorrect. In fact (check your text messages because theyll show you the trail you cant keep lying) the electrician left work to be done due to the fact that he couldnt deal with the sheet rock and tape floating. So he left it unfinished waiting on one of your guys (****) to come complete. June 16 you stated **** would be there to complete. As far as materials, Im not the contractor, you are. If I knew what I needed and how to do it I would have done the job. This has never been an issue regarding materials. We get them as you asked for them. For example when you give me a long list at 8pm of things needed for the next morning. I dont know what to get you have always told me at which point I got them. You are also incorrect about people being there twice. Again check your messages. It was only once and we had already told you give us warning so we assure someone is there. Most the time you told us and they never showed . The day you did tell us that they were there we had no warning. We didnt know to wait there. I need all the work completed that you agreed to.

Are you going to let us finish our contract? Yes or no simple question

I am rejecting this response because: You stopped responding to text, email and phone calls. You stated people would show up and yet nobody ever showed. I paid for the labor in full on May 11, 2022. SO YES, I paid for the contract to be completed. So where you state it's a simple question, I've done everything to have this job completed. You've failed to do so but yes, I need this job to be completed, the full contract.
