After raising the maintenance cost 25.00 or thereabouts .for 2024, they have the nerve to charge $10.00 for each time a maintenance person comes to your home. What about the service man having to come again because he didn't do the job correctly the first time. They should be giving me a refund for not doing the right job in the first place. I will definitely not renew my contract with them. Also, where is it written in their contract that this charge is legitimate, or is it a scam to make extra money!!!!!!!!! ***** ********** **** ****** ***

Good afternoon, We waived the surcharge, so you did not pay have to pay the $10. We advised you would be charged $10 in the future. We put a part in the broken air conditioner and after that repair, another part failed. That can happen sometimes with old R22 equipment. We went back and replaced the second failed part and you paid us nothing for either of those service calls because you have our Silver Service Agreement. The C.O.D cost for those two repairs is approximately $545.00 plus tax. You decided not to renew the Maintenance policy which was the exact price as the year before $159.00. The Silver Service policy was increased from the year prior which is due to increased prices our company pays on everything we purchase from parts to insurances, etc. The surcharge is not a scam. We are paying surcharges to our vendors on a percentage basis and legitimately passing a small portion of those charges along to our customers. Per our contract terms and conditions in the Special Provisions section, it states: (R) BFS reserves the right to implement a surcharge in certain economic situations.
