I had scheduled a nerve test to be done with this doctor's ****** on 6/12. Prior to my visit, I called the doctor's ****** in May and they stated that the visit would cost $311 and that they had checked my insurance and that I had not met my deductible thus insurance would not be taking care of anything. On 6/12, I had my visit and they charge my HSA card for $311 and confirmed again at that time that my insurance had been checked and that I owed $311 as I had not met my deductible. On 7/10, I received a statement in the mail telling me that I owe an additional $612.27. I called and spoke with the doctor's ****** and the said that the $311 was a down payment. At no point, either over the phone or speaking with the receptionist who took my payment was I informed that any additional monies were owed. I asked for them to review the call that I made prior to my visit and they flat out declined to investigate our research the issue any further.The business stated that the amount is owed and that the $311 was a down payment even though they had told me that they had already checked my insurance and I had not met my deductible thus my insurance was not covering anything.
