Hello,We registered my son for ******* GridIron football on November 25, 2022. We paid an extra $11.99 for their registration insurance. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were not able to join the league. Weve sent emails to the regional communication mailbox and the regional league director, *********************, on four separate occasions (3/23, 3/29, 4/7, & 6/12) notifying them my son could not participate and requesting a refund of the registration fee. We have not gotten a single response to any of our emails. The league should not offer registration insurance and not back it up with a refund. Thanks,***** and *******************Business response

I was able to look into your situation. I know we have a strict no refund policy, but we ran into an issue with the website provider that allowed some people to purchase the registration protection. I went ahead and refunded your balance due to you being affected by this issue. We do have the no refund policy in our Terms and conditions for future reference. I am sorry **** wasn't able to assist you in this but please reach out to ************************************ if you ever have any further issues.

On December 31, 2022 I registered my son to play football in the Gridiron winter season for a fee of $172.15.On Jan 5, 2023 I received an email from Gridiron stating that the winter season was canceled due to not enough registered kids. Just to be clear, Gridiron did not provide any service to ** whatsoever. After months of trying to contact Gridiron, I was finally able to reach them on March 8, 2023. The Gridiron representative agreed to issue a full refund and said it could take up to 3 days to process and to call him back if the refund didn't show ** in my account within a week. After several weeks passed and still no refund, I called Gridiron back and they said there was nothing else they could do because they claim to have issued the refund on their end. I have contacted my cc company and they have confirmed that a refund was never issued. Now Gridiron refuses to answer any of my emails, text, or phone calls. After reading some of the other reviews, I believe they are scamming people and just say they issued a refund but never actually do. I urge people to beware of this organization and its shady tactics.Business response

I can get this resolved for you. Due to you starting a chargeback, it has caused an issue in the system. I am currently in the process of getting it reversed and we will issue the refund ASAP.

Good afternoon, I signed up my daughter up for football with this organization. We received an email stating that the organization canceled the football season based on turf issues. They then refunded me a portion of the payment I originally submitted. After the cancellation there was a reimbursement for $184.98. The original charge was $187.55, that left a remainder of $2.57. Original Charge: $187.55 Reimbursement amount: $184.98 Difference owed to me: $2.57 The website now states that I owe $7.56 because of the cancellation processing fee and cancellation service fee. The website also took the difference that was owed to me $2.57 and subtracted it from the $7.56. Stating that I owe $4.99 now on the website. Cancellation Processing Fee: $5.06 ******************** Fee: $2.50 To answer your question that Im sure youre thinking, I have no clue why they didnt reimburse me the full amount from the beginning.Long story short, I am owed $2.57, all the other fees Gridiron Football company can take care of. Gridiron Football-ID Number: ************ I have contacted this organization multiple times via email stating my concerns and explanations. The conclusion to their emails to me were that I need to pay the cancellation processing fee and service fee.I feel this is not right as a customer as I did not cancel this transaction, they did. Now that they canceled this transaction, I receive a partial refund and must pay more money because of their actions.Resolution the Gridiron Football organization should take care of these fees because they are the ones who initiated this process to trigger these fees. I registered my son for Flag football through Gridiorn Football league On March 30th 2022. Flag football was set to start at the end of April with Practices starting mid April. On April 12th I received an email from Gridiorn stating that my son's registration had been cancelled. I emailed back asking if we could move him to a younger age group and they said no it was not allowed. They then told me that I would be refunded the amount I paid back to my credit card of $167.01. On May 2nd I disputed the transaction with my credit card company. On June 17th the credit card company heard back from the merchant and the merchant is not crediting back the money that I paid for services that they cancelled and did not provide. I have been emailed them many times and most of the time I do not get a response. This is THEFT!!! I did not cancel!! Gridiorn Cancelled the flag football 2 weeks before the start of the season and then did not refund me my money back!! All I want is my money back for something Gridiorn cancelled! I have all of the supporting documentation attached including email correspondance.Business response

After looking into this situation, I was able to verify the league was canceled on our end due to registrations. I was able to verify a refund was issued on 5/13 to a card ending in ****. I verified today by checking my *** bank statement on my Citi card. I attached it as proof even though there is personal information on there. There is NO credit from Gridiron on *** 13th or any other day on my statement. Take a look. Your company has been lying to me for months now about this refund and the proof is on my statement. The screen shot that you sent does show that you refunded me back the amount owed. All it showed is that ****** was paid for services. I am very angry because after 1 month of waiting for you all to refund me for services you cancelled, I never was refunded. I had to dispute this with my credit card company and Yesterday I received notification from my credit card company that Gridiron responded to my dispute and is holding me responsible. They are planning on reversing the conditional credit. I had not had a chance to send my credit card company any documentation proof when I filed the dispute. I am have been talking with my credit card company since yesterday to ask them to please re open the dispute and allow me to send them the documentation to prove the dispute. I don't understand, does Gridiron communicate within your own company? Why do you keep saying you have refunded me but you never did? Why would you dispute my dispute to my credit card company saying I am responsible when 2 of you have already acknowledged you cancelled services and are supposed to refund me back the money I paid.Complaint: 17448658

Signed my son up for the winter season of touch football on 9/30/21. Purchased a helmet and pads, as required by the league. Many communication issues later (they said that some parents were not receiving emails as they should), I received an email on 1/6/22 that they were no longer offering touch football, but were instead "converting" the registrations to flag football. They offered a deferral to spring season when they assured me that they would have touch football. I was sent another email on 2/4/22 requesting payment and had another slew of emails to clear up that I had already paid. Another email on 4/8/22 stated that they again did not have enough enrollment to hold touch football and were "converting" registrations to flag football. They stated that refunds would be available. I requested a refund for both the registration and the equipment that I had purchased. This email was sent on 4/8/22. I was told they would "look into this". I emailed again on 4/13/22 and 4/15/22 again requesting a refund and they have stopped responding.Business response

******** was refunded the full amount for registration a few weeks back. I did just process the refund for the gear that was recently delivered back to our warehouse. We do offer refunds if the season doesn't get enough registrations.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I received the season refund on 5/5, which was less than two weeks ago, not "a few weeks ago" as stated. I received a notice today, 5/18, that the helmet which was returned with a delivered date of 4/23/22 per ***** was just credited to my credit card.
I have not yet received a refund for the shoulder pads I returned. They were delivered to Gridiron on 4/23/22 per **** Tracking, which was approximately one month ago. This was from Order #*****, for which I am still owed $69.99.

I am sorry, I didn't catch the second order. The person that must have processed the return label and accepted the return no longer works for Gridiron. I was able to process the second refund as well. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.Customer response

On 10/14/21, I paid $238 to sign my two sons up for a winter flag football league with this organization. The league was to begin in January 2022, but in mid January a notice was sent out that the league did not have enough players and our registration fee was being carried forward to the spring league. Our league representative listed is ************************************* and I emailed the representative on 1/17/22 advising my children were not available to play in the spring league and that I would require a refund instead. I received no response. On 2/6/22 I emailed ********************************** and again asked for a refund and a confirmation of such. As of 2/19/22 Ive received no response. At this time, I am simply seeking a refund of the $238 spent. At this point the website for the league has changed to a second hosting site (StackedSports) and I do not have access to the account I had to create in the previous BlueSombrero website. I have a credit card statement showing the Gridiron charge, but no other notice of anything for the Spring or the money invested.Business response

Upon receiving this complaint on 2/21/22 I have gone thru and provided a full refund. It is Gridiron policy that when a program is moved to a different season that we either provide a credit or refund. I apologize this was not done upon request and I will be following up with our team members to ensure this is properly addressed going forward.

We have been a part of gridiron since September 2021, so far to date the league has been the worst experience I have ever encountered in all of youth sports. The league has no referees and asks parents to ref games weekly 5 weeks in now. We as coaches were provides no equipment, flags, or footballs.On game day fields are not set up properly and have no proper oversight.One week games were canceled that in truth was the other teams decision but league has no viable option for make up game.Week 5 the league canceled all games now for entire league for unforeseen circumstances its a complete joke and the kids are all devastated. I want to hope that this will be corrected and season will be done correctly, but after 5 weeks all we here is sorry and this shut down of full league games today was and is the most unprofessional thing I have ever encountered in youth sports.The league fee is also ******* thinking ?? would be that since it is double what other leagues cost we would be seeing a premier product, but it is 100% not even close and does not even meet minimum standards to be able to hold youth sports events. I have 3 children in this league and I am seeking full refund as the product we paid for was not provided even remotely.
