In January 2023, 2 years after pool completion, severe cracking of the interior pool was evident. I immediately contacted the owner of Dimension Pools and what I received in response was a Wikipedia definition of Alkali Silica Reaction (ASR) was "likely" the issue. referred to as "concrete cancer" due to its similarities to that disease in its effects on concrete. After multiple, phone message, text and email requests for an onsite review of the damage to ensure the accurate diagnosis, I received a refusal to come onsite. Instead, I was refused to their personal injury attorney, who responded "you need to go after the sub-contractors". I didn't hire the subcontractors, and therefore Dimension Pools needs to (but has not) engage by suing their sub-contractors. No support, so in turn an expensive lawsuit has progressed. I requested the owner of Dimension Pools to send the claim to their insurance company and again, no response. Now, in 100+ degree heat, our pool has no water in it, all while Dimension Pools and their subcontractors are able to continue living their lives without taking responsibility for their actions. The lawsuit will take 2-4 years and we are the only party paying the price for an issue we had no hand in creating. Why are companies allowed to get away with sub-standard products and there is no enforcement of liability?
