I drove my 1967 Chevrolet C10 Classic Show truck in for some engine repairs and upgrades and I agreed to original price that was quoted. Then I get a text message that there was more damage and the price increased drastically and I refused to do it. So I ended up with engine tore down and undriveable. I had to tow the vehicle to another shop. The Shop had cut my exhaust and threw it in my painted engine bay and damaged the paint and radiator fillers panels that were custom painted.

We are extremely disappointed the customer chose this route after we communicated throughout the repair process with him.

The customer brought the truck in and our shop was going to fix his lifter failure, which included a tear-down of the engine - and we explained this to the customer and he agreed to the procedure. Once we began the tear-down, we discovered there was more extensive damage to the engine and thus it was going to require more work in addition to fixing the lifter failure. The exhaust was also welded to the manifold as opposed to typically being bolted on. Thus we had to cut the exhaust. We explained this to the customer about the exhaust issue and he admitted that the work done to his vehicle previously was shoddy (i.e. engine conversion, wiring and exhaust work). We alerted the customer immediately to inform him that more work would need to be done and we did not feel comfortable fixing the lifter with the underlying engine problems that would eventually interfere with the lifter fix and he would need to bring the truck back in sooner rather than later. We quoted him a new price that included the additional repair work. He opted not to proceed, told us to stop all work and came to pick up his truck and have to towed to another shop.

We operated in good faith with this customer and offered to program his truck at no cost ($500 value) after he had the maintenance done elsewhere. We are sorry this customer felt the need to reach out to the BBB after we exahusted all options with him and were transparent and upfront the entire time we had his truck at his shop. We will continue to provide our customers with the best service and experience of any repair shop in Houston - as we've done for more than 25 years.
