We were not provided a 10 day notice about water services being cut off. My husband lost his wallet and we never received a letter stating that payment hadn’t gone through when he changed cards. Today he Noticed the bill hadn’t been payed he called and payed it and were assured water wouldn’t be cut of. They still cut it off. I called and asked why if one we had payed it and two they need to provide a ten day notice. They said they did not need to do that. And oops it’s been cut off and won’t be restored until seven. I have a newborn at home. I need water to wash baby bottles. There should be some sort of protection for this especially as I don’t have a choice in who I use to provide water. It feels like an abuse of power that they can cut off the water with no notice. This is the first time we have ever been late and it’s because my husband lost his wallet and cancelled the card. We just had a baby so it’s understandable something skipped his mind on to update his card info. I have video evidence of 30 days of my front door where I never received any type of notification about my water going to be cut off. Oh and we were charged these fees even though we payed before the water was cut off $8.76 late fee $50 reinstate fee $50 deposit
