It is with deep regret and disappointment that I am filing this complaint but we are left with no other options. My husband has made several attempts to contact the builder to check the status of our ac/heating unit to be installed as agreed upon when we closed on our home on May 28, 2021. In December 2020, we entered a contract with LBK homes and began the process of having our custom made, forever home built to our specifications. It started out great! We met the builder on site and expressed our desires and he assured us that he could accommodate everything thing that we discussed. That was short-lived. Nothing could have prepared us for what happened next. We were supposed to close on our home in April 2021 but it was pushed back a month only after we had to threaten to seek legal advice for possible breach of contract. The builder installed a temporary ac unit minus the heat pumpwe are still waiting on the new unit and the builder will not speak to us.Business response

As a result of Supply chain issues caused by COVID-19 There was a supply chain issue on high efficiency condensers which was communicated to the buyers and their realtor before their original closing date. After waiting 30+days on the ideal unit for their home LBK spent $4,500 setting the temporary compressor, so the buyers could move into their home. There was not a heat pump on this unit installed due to the shortage and this was only unit that could be secured, they were never left without heat as they still had the emergency heat option. LBK installed with the correct compressor with heat pump that LBK spent another $4,500 to have done and swapped with temp unit.
