On January 1st, 2022 I bought a brand new 2022 Ford Maverick. However in May I took my truck into helfman ford because it would not start. Ford declared there was an issue with the hybrid battery but the part needed was on back order. I currently still do not have my vehicle and they have no estimated date of the part and have not provided me with any rental.Business response

Helfman Ford received the vehicle on May 24,2023 from Mr. *******. The vehicle has 28861 miles on it and after the diagnosis, it was determined the vehicle needs a main engine wiring harness which Ford has not been able to provide. The part is on back order.
Mr. ******* does not have an extended warranty on the vehicle, which would have covered a rental vehicle for 20 days, and the regular warranty from Ford does not offer a rental vehicle for warranty repairs or down time for back-order parts.
Helfman Ford is not responsible for warranty repair parts down time. We have escalated Mr. ******* concerns to Ford, and this is all we are able to offer. As soon as the part is available, we will have the vehicle repaired and returned to Mr. *******.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
While I do not have the extended warranty after the 20 days I still wouldn’t have a vehicle. As of now I still do not have a vehicle, however am still paying a car note on a vehicle I do not have. There is no expected date of the part to be ready, and I am racking up cost paying for rentals and other means of transportation.

I understand the customers frustration however I cannot offer anything as I am waiting on the part to repair the unit. When the part arrives, we will repair the unit asap and return to the customer.
