The amount of money you paid the business: payment plan of 4,476.88. 1,226.88 with ******** *****, 3,250.00 with easy pay 381.50 so far has been paid towards it. To whom this may concern, I am writing to discuss a complaint I have with the service that was provided from A+ plus transmission specialist. This company used false advertisement as leverage for me to agree for them to perform work to my vehicle, and lied about repairs that needed to be done to my car. This company also charged me for OEM Part but put a rebuilt part in my transmission. The receipt didn't include any labor or fees, just the Grand Total. I have tried to resolve this issue by going up to the shop and requested for an itemized receipt. However, Javier the manager did not want to provide me with an itemized receipt. On Monday June 26, 2023 I dropped off my my car 2013 dodge dart at A+ plus transmission specialist. There where no leaks or transmission light indicator on my dashboard. I spoke with an employee and stated my concerns and was told to fill out a form. My concerns with my car was that it was shifting rough, but not too severe and driving sluggish. They performed a free diagnosis and got back to me an stated that my fluid was bad and had a burnt odor. Josh ****** explains to me that he suggest dropping the transmission and doing an internal inspection because inside my transmission might have some metal shavings and the fluid could be sludge up and needed to be cleaned internally. I signed the paper agreeing for them to internal inspect my transmission which was $685. Mr. ****** stated that the $685 will be credited to the repair cost if anything needs to be done to my car. I even repeated back to him to make sure that I understood him correctly and he stated “correct”. So if I went forth to not do repairs (if anything needed to be repaired) I’m still obligated to pay the $685, but if I do then its credited. Thursday June the 29, 2023 I Called at 8:44am for an update. They stated they haven't made it to my vehicle yet and will give me a call when they do. Friday June 30, 2023, still haven’t heard anything from them. So I gave them a call around 2:14pm to get an update. I spoke with Rich and was told that a gasket needed to be replaced. He gave me a price for OEM Part and used over the phone. He stated the price difference was only $200 so I went with OEM. Total came out to be 4,476.88. He stated all he needs is my authorization over the phone. I told rich I don't have that kind of money to spend on repairs. Rich stated they have payment plans options. Rich told me to give him a call Saturday morning and he will take care of me. I said but wait don't I need to get approved before you guys start doing repairs to my car because what happens if I don't get approve for the payment plan and yall already done the repairs. He asked me a couple of questions if I had 50 dollars in my account and who I bank with. I told him yes and that I bank with chase. He told me I should be fine just give him a call Saturday morning. Saturday July 1, 2023 I gave Rich a call and he was able to get me approve for the loan. He insured me that my vehicle was to be ready by noon due to the shop closes at 1. I called back around 12:48 and was told my car won't be ready until Monday morning. On Monday July 3, 2023, I received a missed call and return their call at 11:18am. They informed me that my car is ready for pick up. Went to pick up my car. As I was driving my car I really didn't notice a big of a difference but the gears shifting a little smooth but still some issues when moving to 1st and 2nd gears. When made it home I noticed that something was not right on my receipt. On July 5th I went up to the shop around 8 in the morning to get an itemized receipt and to address some concerns and red flags that I have with the service that was provided. I spoke with Javier who I believe was the manager. He wasn't trying to give me an itemized receipt, he lied about the 685 being credited towards repairs, and he started listing parts that I was charged for that I was not aware of that needed to be replaced. The reciept only showed rebuilt Torque converter with no price. I never knew a torque converter needed to be replaced. Rich told me a gasket needed to be replaced. another thing that was brought to my attention that this part was rebuilt. I don't know what was truly done to my car and with them being dishonest in the repairs I would like a refund. My car still shifts with hesitation when it's shifting 2nd to 3rd and still drives sluggish. I also have an audio of the conversation that had with Javier that I would like to submit, but was unable to upload to this claim because of the format.
