Horrible Experience at Stafford Oaks Veterinary Clinic ?????? I took my seven-year-old dog there on March 10 for a fatty lump that he had on his back near his tail. The vet looked at it and said it was just a fatty lump and nothing to worry about. She recommended that I get his anal glands expressed, which I did. I had them expressed another additional time on May 1 because he was still acting uncomfortable. I brought him in on May 8 for another follow up visit because he is still not acting himself. They told me that they could take a test of the fluid inside the mass and I would pay $40 for that. After they did that they told me that the results were inconclusive and that I would have to pay $240 for another test that they would send out to be analyzed. After a week I had still not heard from them. I called the office to speak to someone but the vet would only send text messages back. I received 2 messages saying that the test results were again “inconclusive” and if I wanted to an accurate diagnosis I would have to pay $850- $950!!! After talking to the the hospital manager I was pretty much told “sorry… it’s unfortunate” The only thing that’s been consistent with bringing my pets here has been the vets trying to add on unnecessary tests and services to pad the bill. It’s all about the money with them. I will never bring my dogs there again… or any other animal , for that matter!!! Horrible service!
