Good afternoon, I have been messaging back and forth with FIG LOANS for the last month and a half in regards to a loan I have with them. I have been told multiply things by several different representatives in regards to a late payment that was reported to my credit report inaccurately. I am in the middle of buying a house and it has lowered my score 50 points. Which has made me not qualify for a home. I sent a full account payoff check on November the 17th which was sent via fed ex. I have a tracking number showing they picked the check up on 11/20. When I emailed to see if I still needed to make the payment on Dec 2nd to avoid any credit damage because the mailed in payment was still processing, I was instructed by a fig loan representative not to make the payment on the Dec 2nd because I mailed the check for the full pay off on November 17th. They still reported a 30 day late on my credit report when they said they would not because I mailed the payment. When I was notified of the 30 day late on my credit by my home loan lender, I reached back out to them and they informed me that it would be removed the next time y’all reported to the bureaus( 01/10/2023) and that the correct payment date of November 17th would be applied to the account. I have a thread of over 40 emails back and forth with them in regards to this account. I waited until 01/12/2023 to contact them again to see when it will be removed and now they have completely quit responding to my emails. I need this to be corrected asap since it was their mistake. I have been extremely patient and the fact that they are not responding to me is so unprofessional.

The consumer brought this to the attention of Fig’s customer service team and the late payment was adjusted and Fig honored the date that the check was received as the day the payment was made. Any late payments related to this issue that were reported to the credit bureaus were removed from the consumer’s credit report to the consumer’s satisfaction.

Fig Tech Response: The consumer sent Fig an email on 9/13/2022 and Fig responded on 9/14/2022. The consumer was attempting to make an ACH payment towards their loan. Fig’s customer service team assisted the consumer in creating a new payment schedule and the loan has since been paid in full. There were no late payments reported on this loan to the credit bureaus and as such no corrections needed.

A month ago a check was sent from my bank to the only office address shown anywhere, Sugar Land, TX. After I sent a message to find out if my check had be received a few weeks later I was told that since I sent it there, that office would have to send it to their other office in Oregon. I have continued to check on it and have had no luck. They can't seem to find it so, I had said I had to know so I could cancel the check with my bank and have it reissued and sent to the correct office. All they will tell me is Oregon. I have sent numerous messages asking for the address and have received no response. You cannot get a human on the phone. I can only leave messages and no one will return my call with the address. I would either like to know that my check has been received and being processed or given the correct address so I can have a stop payment put on the check and sent to the correct address

The consumer sent payment via check to Fig but the check was never delivered. The consumer then sent a second check which was delivered and applied to the account. Fig issued the consumer a discount on the balance owed and the consumer paid the account off in full, resolving this complaint.

Fig Loans put a late payment loan on all of my credit reports January 2022. This loan was supposedly taken out in October 2021, my credit reports does not show they pulled my credit during this time. I've tried contacting them using the number on credit reports; no answer and no call backs. Finally contacted them through email on the website and gave the the info they requested to verify if I had a loan. Received an email stating they didn't have a loan with my information but, have refused to contact credit bureaus and have the past due account removed from my credit report.

On January 28, 2022 the consumer contacted Fig stating that a loan had been fraudulently opened under their name. The consumer provided a filed FTC identity theft affidavit. Fig conducted an investigation and determined that the account was in fact opened fraudulently and removed the loan from the consumer’s credit reports, resolving this issue directly with the consumer

I took out a short term loan on 12/17/21. First payment was due on 1/17/22. I made a double payment on 1/7/22. Per my online account, it stated that my next due date would be 3/17/22. At the end of February, the company reported me 30 days delinquent to the credit bureau. I sent multiple email to their email address and directly through the portal on my account disputing this incorrect reporting. I attempted to call the company multiple times and there is no option to speak with a live person - you must go thru the email process per the recording. Emails were sent and calls were made late February and last on 3/7/22 - to date, no response at all from the company - they continue to report me delinquent and even though I disputed this thru the credit bureau, it still shows delinquent and they will not update the incorrect report of being delinquent. Lastly, i have automatic payment with this loan, so there is no way my account is delinquent. Company refuses to respond to any of my requests for explanation or call back.

The consumer contacted Fig on 3/6/2022 stating that their loan was being reported as delinquent, however our investigation found that all of the consumer’s loans are being reported as “paid on time”, because the consumer has no late payments on their account. Either way Fig has resent an update of the consumer’s account to the credit bureaus to ensure that the account is reflecting the on-time payments.

i received a transaction from fig loans for $36.15. i do not have a loan out with them, and ive tried calling, i was told to email them. i tried emailing them from all my email accounts, and they all bounced back saying that because there isnt an account for fig loans under any of these emails, they wint go through. so this is my last resort to getting all of my $36.15 back because im not paying for someone else’s loan.

Our records show that the consumer did contact Fig on 2/23/2022, and that due to an administrative oversight, the email was not responded to. The consumer claims the account was opened fraudulently, as such Fig has flagged the account as fraudulent and removed the loan from the consumer’s credit report.

I am attempting to pay off this debt, but when I originally logged in and ran into issues, I was told it had been sent to TrueAccord, was provided their contact information, but then sent a link to pay the account via Fig. After speaking with an agent with TrueAccord, I was informed that they were having a hard time locating my account. I sent an email to Fig (as it is the only way to speak with someone though they have numbers listed on the website) requesting my loan ID and was provided the information. I attempted serval times to pay using my debit card but was told to try another card. When I reached out to Fig via email yet again, they informed me that it was declined due to insufficient funds and to reach out to my card provider. I spoke with PNC, my bank and was able to confirm that I did have the funds and that they never attempted to take the one in the first place!

The consumer reached out to Fig stating that they were attempting to pay off their loan but were unable to make the payment. Fig informed the customer that the payment was declined because the payment processor informed Fig that there were insufficient funds in the consumer’s bank account to make the payment. The consumer was ultimately able to pay off the loan and Fig removed the loan from the consumer’s credit report in accordance with internal policies, resolving this issue directly with the consumer.

On Jan. 10th I received a spam text message from Fig loans. I have never heard of these people and did not give them my number nor permission to text me. I tried calling them to tell them to remove my number from their database, I called the phone number listed on the BBB website and asked if it was Fig Loans. The woman on the other end said no and hung up on me.

A loan application was received for this consumer via a partner site. Consumers may log on to one of our partner’s website such as Engine by Money Lion and search for a loan on the partner’s website. Engine by Money Lion then forwards the application information to several loan companies and provides the consumer with a list of options. It appears that the loan application was denied by Fig on 1/6/2021. Either way we have marked this account as “do not contact”.
