At the end of March 23, 2022 I hired a guy to come out named Gerald who worked for Caney Creek Wood Company. They came and assessed my tree in my back yard on March 23, 2022 and cut the tree down on March 28, 2022. They were to cut the entire tree down and cut up all the big pieces and haul away. I was charged $1400 on April 4. They did not grind the tree stump down nor did they haul away branches and the remainder of the tree. I followed up with Gerald on June 9th to come back and finish the job I received a response of them coming back but the crew never did. So I followed up again on with a text message on Sep 1, 2022 and it wasn’t Gerald it was cubby hill a new worker who replaced Gerald. He explained to me the situation and I had to call the owner of Caney Creek Wood Company Daniel Brumbelow. The owner said I was only charged for the tree grinding and cut up but not hauling the wood away. I expressed that that was not part of the deal I was told and I expressed they should finish the job. The owner argued about how he’s going “above and beyond just to make a customer happy” when I said no you’re not. You’re finishing the job you never finished. As of yesterday they came back out cubby hill and his crew and cut up the tree and grind the tree stump but they still left all the wood and never hauled it away like agreed. This company is not professional and since the job wasn’t finished I’d like to get my money back. It’s caused if more effort and heartache to remove the big chunks left over than for them to haul it away as agreed previously with Gerald when he was employed with Caney Creek Wood Company. The lack of communication and the fact that Daniel tried to charge me an additional $700 to finish the whole job. I never got a copy of the work order nor did I receive a receipt. I was able to find my banking transaction to prove my $1400 charge for the un finished job
