Our AC broke down and we decided to go with AirLoom first because it was close. They would end up trying to charge us almost 20,000$ for the outside unit while also trying to get us to do the rest for extra. They would promote Lennox as the main option but regardless of brand cost they told us that they will charge the same. I’m suspecting that they like using Lennox because new Lennox units don’t last very long after I did research. We didn’t know at the time that we were being swindled so we ended up paying half while they would give us a temporary replacement which broke down a few days after they left. So back to no ac which was for over a week. When searching around for other quote just in case the price couldn’t get cheaper and every single quote we got was much cheaper. Not even in the ballpark. When we called them they said the reasoning was we pay our employees more than other companies. “That’s how we do it.” Another thing is some companies here and there have perfect Google scores including Airloom and I’ve been told that companies can do stuff with the reviews to make them look better. There isn’t a single 1,2, or 3 star rating on there. After we had confronted them even though they had a no refund policy the owner personally very quickly tried to write us a check for what we had paid and tell us he can pick up the temp replacement outside whenever another contractor finishes.(Funny because their temp replacement was still broken) and tried to it feels like run away as fast as possible. This was my first time dealing with this industry so I was little naive so I’m hoping any other first timers won’t get almost screwed like us. We replaced 2/3 main ac components for 7k and it was done very quickly by a different company. Thanks for reading.
