Denied me to refund 400 stolen from my bank account. Even with proof it was not me. They state they have zero liability for customers who have unauthorized transactions. That is a lie customer service basically called me a liar and accused me of a bogus fraud dispute. I filed claims on this bank.Woodforest National Bank Response

I'm a new customer, and just made my 2nd visit to the *** Madera Run branch, in Houston. Took 2 tellers an hour to accept a routine deposit. The deposit was less than $10,000, with just over $3000 in checks. I was the only customer in the branch, the whole hour. I was told that they needed a "manager approval" to deposit the checks. I stood there, while they made at least a half dozen calls, trying get a code, to enable them to process the deposit. Looks like opening this account has been one big waste of valuable time.Woodforest National Bank Response

I have been a member of Woodforest National Bank for years. I used my woodforest national bank debit card at a Wells Fargo ATM on 1/31/2024 @ 7:11am , the machine gave me my card and receipt but did not dispense my money in the amount of 550.00. I disputed this with Woodforest as well as Wells Fargo only to be given a provisional credit on 2/2/24 and on 2/21/24 Woodforest took my money back stating Wells Fargo provided documents stating the money was dispensed from the ATM. Woodforest did not ask for surveillance to verify the money was dispensed to me and all I'm being told is I can reopen my dispute and they will look at it when they get a chance. I have battled for over a month to retrieve my money in the amount of 553.00 because Wells Fargo charged me 3.00 to use their ATM. I guess Woodforest thinks that people have 550.00 these days to just give away. I have sent many messages, picutres of me fighting the ATM to open the cash door and nobody from Woodforest has taken the steps to help me obtain my money....This has been nothing but stressful, I have called my local new station to see if I can get some help because being a long time member of this bank does not matter. I've emailed every email address on their website and keep getting the same message, " We sorry for your inconvenience " I've been to my local branch , I've talked to multiple supervisors, went to the police department , and also provided a claim number from Wells Fargo and still NOTHING. The dispute department at Woodforest is a JOKE, as they do not do any real investigation and will not provide you with information to prove what their members are saying, they were quick to say they reached out to the terminal owner but didn't require them to provide footage of their machine giving me my money. they have pretty much called me a liar and a theft. Notarized letters were sent to Woodforest, pictures, descriptions of what I was wearing on this day. again NOTHINGWoodforest National Bank Response

Had been with Woodforest since 2012, and every year have tax refund deposited to this account. Typically, we make some sort of large purchase at tax time, this year I find a vintage car I wanted. Although there was over $9,000 in my account the branch in Beckley, WV refused to give me more than $2,500 at a time. The manager Anne was rude, called me a liar, when actually she was the dishonest party, I asked her "if ***** came in to get more than $2,500 he couldn't get it?", she replied "no, he couldn't". Called me a liar over my debit card not working and refused to look at the declined reciept from the ATM where I tried to withdraw $300 earlier in the day. She convinced my husband to purchase a $6,000 (price of the car) cashier's check issued to me and said "anywhere will cash that since it is a cashier's check" wrong, ******* refused to cash it, or any bank in my town. So I had to go back to ******* (which is about 40 miles from my house), deposit $1,000 because she refused to cash the whole $6,000. So we closed our account, received a cashier's check for the remaining balance in our account and took it straight to ******'s Bank and opened a new account. So glad to be done with this bank, their rude staff, and ridiculous fees and policies. Last but not least currently awaiting response from an attorney because my autistic son suffered days of commotion, car sickness, ruined a planned fun time with my 63 year old mother who was in WV from out of state and I missed the opportunity to purchase a car I'd fell in love with. This bank is not what it used to be. Recurring fraud and the bank doesn’t care. Keeps happening. After 20+ years we are moving everything. If you want your money safe, I do NOT recommend this bank.Woodforest National Bank Response

Flat out refused to authorize payment with my funds even after I verified authenticity of charges. My money my choices. Transaction was going to my son but was questioned about his last name different than mine! Hello it’s called marriage or divorce!!! I have had a this is account as well as a personal account for 16 years at Woodforest national Bank. During this time it has been good. They've been good to me and I have stuck with them. I will leave this review for the Havelock North Carolina branch. I wrote a check this morning to one of my employees and accidentally wrote 2003 then wrote a four right over to three. Employee called me while in the bank and said that they would not accept the check. I asked to speak to them they refused and laughed when I said that I have been there for 16 years. Employee said guy behind the counter shrugged and they looked at each other and laughed. I understand but they could have spoke to me and verified who I was over the phone and accepted that check. Either way the laughing at me was very unprofessional and rude in a business setting. I've seen the managers from different banks verify a check with their initials that someone else writes on the check. They could have spoke to me verified me and wrote my initials over that four and cash that check for my employee. I was at the time about 35 miles away and had to drive just to put my initials over that four for them to cash it at a different woodforest national Bank. I am so upset over this. Terrible customer contact by employees at the Havelock North Carolina Woodforest national Bank. Over the 16 years I haven't had the most money in there but I have had $30,000 and I've had $1,000. this is the worst bank in the world, on several occasion have they messed up on our accounts first they put the wrong amount of money in by several thousands and admitted they messed up but instead of fixing the issue they withdrew all my money in my account and made in go negative I had to pay them for their mistake then they got my account mixed up with my mothers and they drafted my moms house payment out and rejected my truck payment when there was enough money for both they constantly lock you out of online banking and tell you their is nothing they can do about it. do not bank hereWoodforest National Bank Response

I have been with Woodforest National Bank since about 2001 or 2002. At first, I just liked that they were open 7 days a week (that changed with COVID), and had branches pretty much everywhere. Since then, I have been pleased to have a close working relationship with David Brown in the Sherman TX branch, especially recently when he helped me tirelessly with a Zelle snafu. (No more Zelle for me!!) I also very much enjoy getting an email EVERY MORNING when there is a transaction pending or completed, and another one EVERY MORNING telling me what my balance is. I've been able to keep up with all expenditures, and I love it. THANK YOU WOODFOREST!!!Woodforest National Bank Response
