Truck was running while waiting on line to get a wash, and engine wash. After they were done washing the engine, was stalling and after didn't want to turn on. They said it was leaking diesel from a line which wasn't the case. My guys tried to turn it on but couldn't was going to tow it they didn't let us. We had to call tow company. They got their after hours. Their mechanic tried to turn it on and it couldn't. Had to get a rental crane to tow it back to mcallen. Mechanic here in my area check it and ask what happen, he check thr ECM. Turn out it was wet, he swap the with another one and it work. Total damage came out to $4650. I let the owner now via email about said he will email back and nothing. I email him today and said he is not liable when his workers said if they are found lieable they will pay for the damages.

To Whom It May ***************************** I apologize for the delay. We did not receive the notification until Friday.

I am familiar with this customer and he threatened us that he would be contacting the Better Business Bureau. This customer received an engine wash and truck stopped working while in our washbay. We had at least two technicians inspect the issue to understand what happened and found pieces of metal in his system (which would not be caused by us spraying water in the engine area).

We advised the customer that we would have to tow the truck out of the bay - they said they would call the tow company and did not - causing us to not be able to wash trucks for the rest of the day. We finally called the tow company ourselves and got it towed out after hours on the same day.

The customer not only did not pay their bill but came on our property and took their truck before their bill was paid. Then they got a local technician to say that we ruined their engine with the engine wash. We have been performing engine washes for nearly 20 years and have never had this issue or a customer complain of any kind of issue. We also had two technicians on our team inspect the engine and the customer did not like the results of our findings.

I can appreciate the customer being upset - but they took their truck before paying the bill and then accused us of breaking their truck with a wash. We warranty our work - even for washes. Our reputation is everything and if we break something we must fix it. We have honored almost every warranty claim that has come through (thankfully, and due to our team, not many) but I cannot pay someone $4K for an error we didn't cause.

Thank you for your reach out. Sincerely, Simon

I am rejecting this response because: of course their technicians would say that it is not their fault. They don't want to pay the bill. They will come out with any excuse. We went for the trailer called the number told him we will pay the ********************* as long as the problem was on us. He agreed. If i remember correctly you didn't want to call the repo, you force us to call him when we tried to move the truck ourselves. Threaten us to call the police on us.

The mechanic that did the inspection here; is reliable, and more experience then the once you have in the shop no offense. He ask what was the issue he did various inspections and lastly he check the computer on the truck it was still moist, i provide pictures for your reference. You can see it was damaged, he install a used one he had and it turn on perfectly.

My question is why you agreed on that you will pay the claim when you can't back it up. The lady that was on the phone, said if it was our fault we will pay. Told her i will seek for a technician/mechanic that will fix it. Which he did, no mechanic will put his name to shame saying it was one thing when it wasn't. As you mention before it was working when it arrive while washing, after you wash the engine stop working. That's where the problem started.

We were willing to pay for any damages if they were our fault. That is true. But before the issue was resolved (I asked for time to review) he took his trailer off the property before paying his bill. We never got a chance to review, re-examine, or speak to his technician because he took his equipment off our property without authority and before paying his bill - given the non-good faith action I considered the matter closed and did not research any further if a claim was warranted. He did not pay his bill and is pursuing us for repair damages that we did not cause.
