Hello, on June 23rd 2021 (exactly a year ago today) I purchased a vehicle from East Texas Direct Auto in Tyler *********************** ************************* was the sales representative. I had the vehicle for a month and it wouldn't go in drive or reverse. I contacted the dealership and spoke with the owner and the sales person who sold it to me about my 2018 **** Focus multiple times. They told me my warranty would cover the repairs. But I wouldn't get a loaner or be able to trade my vehicle in. I put $2,000 down on this vehicle and it stopped running after a month... Why couldn't I trade it in and get into another vehicle or get a loaner? They didn't want to work with me! When I purchased the vehicle I told them I needed something reliable and that I was a young single mom. They told me this was the only vehicle I was eligible for they knew what they were doing! I just really want them to make this right my vehicle has been sitting at the **** Dealership in ********** Texas waiting for a part since September 1st 2021. The part is on back order. I have lost my job over this, proceeded to pay all of my payments ($432.27 every month), and been very patient. But for me to own a vehicle for less than a month and it stopped working then the dealership act like it's not there issue isn't right. They told me if I traded my vehicle in none of the money I have put into it would go towards a new one. They said they would just take my vehicle back but I would have to put $2,000 more down to get into a new one. How does that make sense? Please help me I am at a loss on what to do!Sincerely, ******************************* ***************************** *************

Hello my name is ******, Im the manager/ salesperson that helped with this transaction. *********************** was a referral from an acquaintance of mine. *********************** stated she needed a vehicle pretty desperately that specific day. I told her I would do my best to find a vehicle that would fit her needs. Based off of her credit and amount of down payment she had ($2000) the only vehicle that I was able to get her approved on at the time was the 2018 **** Focus with ***** miles. We had just received 2018 **** Focus and I had let her know that we still had to detail it, so the maintenance and safety inspection. After approval on the 2018 **** Focus I told her I would bring a loaner vehicle at no charge the following day so she still had something to drive while we serviced it and had it detailed. After completed what was promised, we took the vehicle back to her in *******, **. I didnt hear from her for about a month afterwards when she stated the issue with the part that is currently back ordered. *********************** did purchase a Service Contract which she stated that they would cover the part needed to fix the vehicle but unfortunately there is no timeframe of the part becoming available. This is when the dealership East Texas Direct Auto and myself ( *************************) have been repeatedly harassed and slandered on social media and numerous ******** groups. I have personally received phone calls from random people stating I need to help her out. After I have explained our side of the story they understood the situation a lot better. My dealership just like any other can not lend out a loaner for this length of time. A question she should ask is, why is the dealership that she currently has her car in for service not loaning her a vehicle?  We also have offered to trade her out of her current vehicle. Yes $2000 was needed to get approved again, but I never personally heard back from her after we offered take her trade in to help get her out of the vehicle. I hope this resolves some of the accusations she has made.

I am rejecting this response because:

Yes, I did receive a loaner for the inspection but I did not drive said loaner because I was at work. The loaner was used so the person picking up my vehicle could get my vehicle then after dropping my vehicle off could have a way back to the dealership. That wasn't to benefit or help me. I was working the whole time this happened! The dealership in the beginning seemed very nice but after talking with them multiple times (not just ****** but the owner ***** as well) I decided I wasn't going to get anywhere. I went to social media because after driving my car for a month then it not working and being "stuck" or trading it in with none of the money I put into it going towards a new one didn't seem fair. I understand not being able to give me a loaner. But the dealership could have worked with me more about putting the $2000 I already put down or the $432.27 I put in the vehicle every month for the past year towards a vehicle a new vehicle. But instead they want to keep my money the car and have me put $2000 more down? That just doesn't seem fair! Yes I did call (a lot) I just didn't speak with ****** every time. I was also working full time and being a single mother. Most of these calls were from the phone at my work. Every time I called ***** (the owner) he told me there was no need to call back and he would call me when he figured out a solution. That was the response every time I called! What else was I supposed to do? I even texted ***** and asked if certain vehicles that were on the website in the same price range as mine, if I was eligible for. He said I was not eligible for those and he would let me know when he found a vehicle for me. I am tired of waiting and honestly tired of paying on a vehicle I can not drive. Every person I have told about this took it upon themselves to call, I did not tell them to. After every person has called they told me the dealership isn't doing right by me. Please come up with a better solution!

      Sincerely,

      *******************************
