So here is my story dealing with Texas Metal Carports. I initially hired Great American Structures out of ******** to design and build my metal building. My son in law hired Great American a few years back, and the experience was good. In Texas, Great American Structures hires Texas Metal Carports to complete their projects. I asked so many questions before I agreed to a contract, probably too many, but I wanted to make sure that I was covering all details. I will say that **** and his crew did a very good job and the building looks great. BUTTT...I was told by phone and email, that I could place my windows and doors anywhere I chose, as long as I was present for the build. Well that was not true, and after spending $600 on a build out plan, lots of changes were coming. Also, we had a 25 foot lean to designed for our building, and pictures were sent to confirm what we wanted. We were told that the main entry could be centered for that patio. Well, after some ugly conversations and myself being very close to stopping the build, we got that rectified. While getting the entry door rectified, my patio concrete slab was busted. I was also told that my lean to would have 4 post, which is what I requested, so that my windows would not be lined up with a post when looking out. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN EITHER, because I have 6 post with 2 directly in view of my living room windows. I was told by Great American Structures that they had spoken with Texas Metal Carports, and they would be calling me to deal with the broken slab and extra post, but of course they have not. My family has purchased 2 metal buildings from Texas Metal Carports in the last 2-3 years, but they will not get my recommendation for any more.
