Paid this dealeship's service department $4300 to fix air conditioning in my Chevrolet. When I originally took it in for an estimate, it worked a little. When i rejected their original repair estimate, I discovered they had disabled it when I picked it up, and it didnt work at all in the 100 degree heat. I took it in again and approved the repair. I had to return it twice--for a total of three visits-- and the temperature control still doesn't work. I have reached out to service manager and GM. I have not gotten a return call or response from either.

Sold me a used vehicle (30k miles) and said they did a multi point inspection. They also said the vehicle was still covered under factory warranty. The vehicle has since been repaired 5 times due to issued related to after market tuning kits and a chip, which voided the warrant. I've sent an email to the ** of Peltier ***** and other employees, and have not recieved any return calls or emails for months. The salesman who sold us the vehicle asked for more money to get out out of the vehicle. Even the companies own mechanics have told me I got screwed and the aftermarket add ons should have been noticed, as well that the add ons are causing a chain reaction of issues. It is my belief no inspection was completed and thus that is the reason the after market add ons causing mechanical issues were not disclosed.

      Mr ******,

Sorry for the issues you are having with your recent purchase of your 2017 Optima.  In the ************** all pre- owned purchases are purchased AS IS No Warranty.  Understanding you had an issue with the vehicle we honored your purchase by replacing the engine.  We recently called to see if could try to help and get you in something different and your reply was purchase the vehicle back, discount the new one, gas, attorney fees etc.  Unfortunately since you have turned it over to your attorney we can no longer communicate .

I took my car for service to Peltier Chevrolet in ***** in February to resolve a ticking noise . After running a diagnostic check on the vehicle, they confirmed it was either the starter or flywheel that needed replaced .They replaced the starter and advisor ******* confirmed the issue was 100% resolved before I picked up and paid . Two days later the ticking was LOUDER than before . Took it bad in the following week and THEY they confirmed It was the flywheel that I needed replaced . After telling them I would bring it to get replaced on my next paydate, before then my car starting making an extremely loud noise so they then performed a THIRD DIAGNOSTIC , telling me they then found metal in my oil pan and that I needed my whole engine replaced at this point . Then stated I had to pay again to even see if engine needed replaced AFTER confirming it did . This Chevrolet drained all my oil out of my car after getting a fresh oil change two weeks prior from them and when I got the car towed to Chevrolet in Longview for a second opinion they confirmed all my oil was gone and the motor has locked due to this . I contacted a manager *********************** about this in ***** and he made a joke out of it stating that only drained a little out the car, and refused to refund me for my prev oil change but could refund me for 1/4 of oil but they didnt confirm anything about a leak so where did this oil disappear to ? After this point they then confirmed the starter was probably damaged as well due to me not getting the flywheel done, and driving around on it made it worst, AFTER they said the starter fixed the issue . Now Ive been out of a car for almost two months and nobody is trying to get the issue resolved or trying to be held accountable for their Mess up . The managers are unprofessional and **************** tries to find every reason to NOT fix this issue that this dealership has caused . I simply went to get one issue resolved that was not as major and ended up in worst situation

Customer brought in ******************** Cruze into our service facility on 2-24-22 with ***** miles with concern of vehicle making ticking noise after oil change from another shop. We diagnosed this as needing starter and flywheel we have estimate dated at that time needing flywheel and starter. Customer decided to only repair starter. Vehicle was brought back on 3-8-22 with ***** miles concern is ticking noise again customer declines flywheel at this time. Customer bring back in on ******* with ***** miles again with engine noise. This time in the engine is making a flywheel noise and deeper engine noise. The tech looks into the deeper engine noise and finds metal in oil after just draining enough oil out of engine for inspection. Customer declined all work at this time. We listen to customers complaint of no oil in engine after previous visit. The engine has already failed at time of previous visit. The customer is a good customer so we decide to help customer out as best we can. We offer the customer the option of paying for parts and we would provide labor. The customer agreed to this offer. We have the vehicle picked up from Longview at our expense. The customer provides us with used engine, the engine shows up damaged. We inform customer of damaged engine and the customer has another engine shipped to us. The second engine arrives damaged the customer asked if we can swap parts from used engine and guarantee her that everything will work and we cannot guarantee anything on the used engine or her damaged engine will work properly. These are used parts that we know nothing about. The vehicle is currently at our shop at this time with ***** miles same miles as 3-28-22. We have the vehicle in a bay with video of oil draining from engine. The engine has oil in it and had oil in it when it left our facility on 3-28-22 with ***** miles. We are honoring our statement of engine replacement but we unfortunately cannot guarantee that used parts will work properly on the vehicle. Thank You

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      Mo *****

When I took my car in to get a diagnostic check I was told my advisor ******* that It needed EITHER a starter or a flywheel . And that THe dealership would start with the starter first since was cheaper to see if this resolved the issue. I didnt choose which option to go with because Im not a technician I just wanted the issue resolved as soon as possible ! AFTER replacing the starter this same advisor told me the noise was gone and that the issue was fixed for sure so I picked my car up and paid for starter . Two days Later the ticking noise was WORSE : so I called the next business day and was told to bring it in for another look . After running a second diagnostic they confirmed it was the flywheel that I needed and I NEVER declined the service , after paying $800 for the starter I told the service ***** I would bring my car in my next pay date , being the flywheel was quoted at $1600 ! They told me this was FINE , After about a week , my car started to get worst than what It was before getting the starter replaced , so I took it in sooner and advisor told me at this point I needed an engine replacement, then speaks to the other party on my car loan and advised if I wanted them to check to see if I needed a new engine would have to charge over $500, which she had already confirmed I needed, so I had the car towed to another Chevrolet dealership for second opinion and they confirmed there was no oil left in the car causing the engine to lock. I had just gotten an oil change two weeks prior when I got the starter replaced , so shouldve been oil in the car before Peltier Chevrolet dealership drained the oil out to check an oil pan. All this was due of negligence of telling the customer that for one I needed booth a starter and a flywheel instead of trial and error or telling me I would need either or then changing it to saying I needed both ! Also not informing the fresh oil I had paid for 2 weeks prior was drained out and cause worse conditions of car .

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2021/12/15) */ Customer brought in his **** *** ****** with 82,029 miles requested oil change and tire rotation. During visit we found needed maintenance due on vehicle Wheel alignment and brake repair. During wheel alignment we center the steering wheel. this process involves holding steering wheel straight with holder. The vehicle is equipped with tilt steering column to allow customer to raise and lower steering column to desired height. technician simply lowered column to hold at level place to hold steering wheel while making adjustments. The part in question is not attached to steering wheel technician did not touch part or remove or replace part. Simply lowered steering column as manufacture designed. the part is a trim that works like a blind to move up and down with steering column. over time of raising and lowering steering column to customer desired height wear and tear of this steering column this part has broken. we only lowered steering column as it was designed to do in everyday use. no repair attempt was performed in this area. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/12/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) My steering wheel was adjusted and steering wheel cover was adjusted. More was moved than is being claimed.
