I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the lack of customer service and sense of decency that I have experienced in my recent interactions with your company. Despite reaching out for assistance, I felt ignored and undervalued as a customer.The absence of a timely and helpful response has left me frustrated and questioning the level of commitment your company has towards its customers. I believe that good customer service is fundamental to any business, and unfortunately, my recent experience has fallen far short of that expectation.Additionally, the inability to make online payments causes a delay in timely payments to keep families with stable water access. All payments are my CHECK, money order, or cash and this proves inefficient to collect payments. This company does offer bank drafts, but again, with the lack of customer service, no courtesy call is made to ensure funds are appropriated. I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider improving your customer service practices. It is disheartening to see a lack of decency in how customers are treated, and I hope steps will be taken to rectify this issue.This unfortunate exchange happened around 3:30pm on 1/23/24. There were 4 women working the front desk who offered NO help or solutions. Sincerely,*****************************

Customer was contacted on the morning of Wednesday, 01/24/2024. It was explained to customer that ********************************************* is a regulated utility and is only approved to accept the above recited "forms of payment". In order to accept credit card payment, the filing of a comprehensive rate case is required which will ultimately result in increased rates for all Southern customers.Additionally, customer service is of utmost importance to Southern's management and offers its sincere apology to customer if the above information was not fully explained to her.Upon discussion, of the customer's issues, customer stated she understood the reason credit card payments can not be accepted and she certainly does not desire Southern's rates to be altered.
