2001 ****************** 2 wheel drive 4.0 engine 200,527 ********** Work performed 7/20/22 ****** On July 20/22 took my suv in to check out brakes. When i called they said $110 for front brakes. Dropped it off and by the time i get home they called and said it will need new front rotors bearings etc. I agreed for them to do the work now at $425.47. And they would call me when finished which they said would be before lunch. Around 2pm I called them and yes the front brakes are finished, but we really need to do the rear brakes now! Told them to come pick me up. After they worked on the brakes my pedal is now going to the floor. And still making the noise that i wanted to fix in the first place. After checking out the work they did, the rotors they said could not be turned because there was not enough metal on them. (per law specs. term Kwik Kar used) O'Reilly measured them and said there is plenty of metal to turn. Ended up going to another mechanic for the back brakes. He had to bled the front brakes and he also said what they did messed up the ABS. After Kwik Kar worked on the brakes and then drove to pick me up and he drove back, I ended up driving back to the house called Jarred the manager and told him about the pedal going to the floor. And ask if they bled the brakes?? Told me to bring it back tomorrow and he would bled and fix pedal going to floor (which did not do that before they worked on it) When I arrived at kwik kar the next day. they look under the hood...brake fluid reservoir, ( when i checked it was overfilled) start pointing at really nothing? Jarred and I go for a drive end up in a parking lot, where he repeatedly slams on the brakes. Saying if we were doing a inspection it is stopping fine!!! When we get back to the shop, Jarred tells me to go to Charter Tire...maybe they can fix it. Did not bleed the brakes are anything" After stumping on them and the ABS. After using the legal term Jarred sent me out in my car that was dangerous. Judd
