My car was over heating on monday, July 15th, so I decided to not drive it far from where I work and took it to Westlake Auto Care on Redbud Trail. When I walked into the business and chatted with the owner, he incorrectly quoted me for the parts, the labor cost, and the time it would take for completion (he said the next day). He quoted me for thermostat housing, thermostat, and radiator parts, with a total labor cost of $288, which, according to them is 1.6 hours worth of work. The total coming out to $688. I called them everyday and after 2 days, it still was not done. I called again and another person answered the phone, the manager, ******. He had told me that his boss didn't order the right parts, twice, and they needed to order something else. ****** called me this morning July 18th at 8am saying that the parts had just come in and he could have it done by this afternoon. I also asked them to print out an itemized receipt, so I can see the charges.I come to the business to pick my car up around 3:40pm and see the receipt, only to see that they overcharged me for parts and labor costs on my ******* sonata 2010 vehicle. As I was looking at the receipt with all the charges, I noticed that they charged me $245 for a radiator (which at Autozone you can get one for near $100) (or the literal ******* dealership cost was cheaper than what they charged me for). I also pointed out the labor charges and they said $180 for 1 hour of labor was the standard in ******, ** and they said they did 2.6 hours worth of work. Even though they initially quoted me for 1.6 hours. I decided to pay the total because they insisted that everything is the right cost. I walked out and ******, the manager, came out and said he couldn't say anything in front of his boss. He told me that he was on vacation for 2 weeks and he came back on Tuesday to a "shit show." He apologized for his boss and said he doesn't know how to run a business and nobody knows what they are doing there.
