    ***********. Home Helpers ********* new contact information: ****************************************, ***** ************. Owner: ****** PenningsI had a good caregiver at this agency for my husband. On February 24th I had major heart surgery, 2 weeks later our home flooded. About a week later, I sent my husband to the hospital with severe chest pain, bilateral pulmonary embolism. ****** did not pay our caregiver for 3 weeks and still has not paid her. She lives paycheck to paycheck and could not afford to work for free, The day my husband came home from the hospital, we had no help and I was recovering from a mitral valve replacement. He did not answer my phone calls which had been typical of ******. There was no reason to stop paying his employee because we have home care insurance and he was getting paid for my husbands care for a while but then stopped getting funds for some reason not related to our policy. He can still get his money from insurance but has ceased to do so. We went without a caregiver for over a week. ****** was fully aware of our situation and did nothing. I did get her a job with an agency that helped us on weekends but not until she was without her paycheck for over about a month. Our caregiver knows exactly how long she went unpaid. My husband just turned 90 and I was already 80 when all this happened. ****** said the reason he did not pay her was because she did not clock in and out which was not true and she did in fact work every day when she was not getting paid. He was to pay her every 2 weeks but she did not want to leave us when we both were in need of help. After that, she could not afford gasoline for her car. This was unconscionable to leave us helpless and to not pay his employee. Please feel free to call me for any more information that you may need. ************. Thank you.I want nothing for us but I do want our caregiver compensated for the three weeks she worked for us plus over a week of not working. FYI: my husband is a veteran.
