Transaction date 6/13/2024 Water pump went out on truck. Shop did work and recommend several other parts to upsale the job as they tend to go bad at the same time. We agreed as I take care of my truck. was told they stand behind their work and guaranteed their parts. Picked up truck after finished and immediately began having noise so loud you cannot hear radio or a person talk. Dropped in and out- intermittent, loudest when accelerating. Stopped half way home. Next morning no noise. Drive home awful noise and power robbed from engine. Scared other motorist with noise trying to pass, which was difficult at 70 mph IN A HEMI. Obviously a bad part. Returned truck first thing Monday. Was not listened to about the noise, when it occurs, how it occurs or the fact that it is running hotter than it ever had in the 10 years since I bought brand new from the dealership. Shop tested in idle per their message which we kept and offered to upsale to a better part for $200. . Says everything is within specs and will not replace bad part. Face to face he will be happy to sell me a more expensive part which will probably also be from ***** but price changes to $350 (yes he just admitted he put a cheap Chinese part in my Mopar). He must have forgotten his message - which is available. But will not replace the bad part they put in because it idles fine and the noise is acceptable to them. My truck has never made noise. They claim the fan must have been free spinning before - but cannot explain why it runs hotter now with a new part than it would with a free spinning fan that was broken? I would like my money returned so I can pay the mechanic that will be replacing the bad part or parts this shop installed and any damage they have done. Please note that I am female. I believe that is relevant to why my concerns were ignored and the condescending treatment I received for daring to bring it back. I was very polite as I work with the public. I have never left a bad review.Initial Complaint

*****************'m new to ****, went to get Front End Alignment/bc of new tires. Was told that **** the Alignment employee I needed Whole Lower Control Arms/with *************** Joints!$993.95 Plus Both Front Axle Boots be they are Busted!$691.80 I was like ok. I'll get my mechanic to do it.Went & got second opinion "I Don't Need Anything for My Front End At ALL! I was taken to my car & was demonstrated that none of these services needed to Be Done! I only Need a Front End Alignment!12-22-23 Just called TSA spoke with *********** explained to him how they lied to me about repairs for my car just to Rip Me *************** my $20 back! He said **** has 20 doing ************** said 20 yrs of Lying to People! Won't give back my $20 but ****** Learned! $20 won't make me or break me!Please Don't Go There It's A SCAM to get you to Spend Your Hard Working Money on Things You Don't Even Need Done to Your Car!!Initial Complaint

7/29/21 Acct number ****** Amount $1096.67 Took vehicle for repair at Texas Star Tire and Repair for ignition problem/issue. It took them 3 months to repair my vehicle. During the time that the vehicle was there. It was diagnosed with the distributor assembly, electronic ignition stator and the PCM/Processor Assembly. Invoice is attached. I was called to pick up vehicle when it was ready and once I picked it up it immediately on start up would not automatically shift gears in the transmission which had nothing to do with the original repair(ignition repair). I took the vehicle back to them within 24 hours of picking it up to report what was happening. They kept the truck to look at it to see what was the problem. They called me back the next day to pick it up as it was "fixed" per the repairman. However it was still not shifting automatically. I took it back 2 more times with the same response. They advised me it had nothing to do with the transmission as they did not work on the transmission. After giving up with Texas Star I decided to take my vehicle to ******************** for second opinion. After diagnostic and troubleshooting, checking the wiring and harness. They discovered That Texas Star had installed the incorrect computer part for my vehicle. They installed a **** part from a newer model and my vehicle is a ****. ***** with ******************* ordered the correct part for a **** **** F150. it was installed and it repaired the problem immediately and I have had no problem since then. So therefore the incorrect part that Texas Star installed and charge me for caused the Transmission issue. I am requesting a full refund from Texas Star for the incorrect part, labor and inconvenience.
