I went to Aspen Dental to see about getting my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't have insurance at the time and was in between jobs. The staff was very friendly and helpful in setting up an appointment for surgery and signing me up for their credit lender. A week before the surgery, I got a call stating I received a job in ******, **. I called Aspen and canceled the surgery AS WELL AS refunding the money back to the lender. The lady on the phone said it was done and all I had to pay was my exam fee for cancer screening. I called the creditor to disclose this information. A month has past and now I'm getting a call from the creditor saying Aspen NEVER refunded the creditor and I owe a balance. Aspen was not helpful and said that because I don't know the name of the person who helped me, they cant do anything about it. What kind of business applies their customers for a credit line, takes the money, and doesn't refund when the client requests them to in a reasonable amount of time? Aspen Dental. Now I'm stuck with a line of credit to pay off for a surgery I NEVER had done and wanted canceled and refunded long before the appointment.

Would not recommend Aspen Dental to anyone. The staff are very nice, however their business practices leave much to be desired. You will get much better personal service from a local family provider and for a much better price. Aspen Dental over charges for every service they provide and will insist you need much more work done than necessary. After your evaluation and before any work is done they will set you down in their business office and go over all of the fees. They tell you that they work with your insurance and that they expect the insurance to cover roughly half of the cost. (Your portion will still be thousands of dollars). They will insist you pay all of your portion in advance. My experience was that they only did half the cleaning I paid for initially and then I had to schedule a second visit to have it finished. (They insisted the insurance company would only pay for half the cleaning at a time and to get them to cover the rest I would have to schedule a second appointment and come back) On the scheduled date the cleaning was to be finished, their computer system went down and was down for weeks. When they got things back to where they could reschedule my appointment they were so backed up it would be more than a month before they could get me in again. Finally was able to get the cleaning finished and thought I was done with this place. Almost a year had gone by and I get a bill in the mail for hundreds of dollars more! Apparently the trick to get the insurance to pay the ridiculous amount for the cleaning didn't work and I now have to pay it out of my pocket. My suggestion to the company is, how about you only charge the agreed amount you negotiated with the insurance company and not try to play games to make them pay more.Again unless you enjoy over paying don't use Aspen Dental in ****!
