These apartments were sold on Dec 12 2023. Cromwell took over mgt. We were told new locks and repairs would be made to the laundry facility. I have sent in at least 2 work orders, called numerous times always to be told the parts are on order. Mgt is not on site so we must pick up new locks for the new mailboxes installed. I don't have a car and they know it. In June I called again, told parts are on order. I have stopped calling. My front door would leak from the upper right corner when it rains at an angle. I used a bucket to catch the rain once I noticed it. I mentioned it to the new construction people and was told they were installing rain gutter which should fix that. I had previously caulked around the windows and door. I put in a work order. They came took pictures, said they would address it. This was in February. In May, a $71 bill on my apartment account. I call, and told they had come in to look for the leaky ceiling (May2nd), found none, so I was being charged for it. She says this is from a work order in February. 3 months to come check it!!???May 23rd, I sent in a repair request with photos showing the rain in my bucket and wall warping. Construction guys took pictures once again, pick at the dry rot wood frame and left. May 30th, the night the power went out. rain streaming in on my window sill raining to the floor. Every hole/crack there is from the blinds installed has rain coming in. No one has been here since I sent in the May 30th repair request. I am disabled, wear an emergency necklace. 1.5 months ago someone came by and painted the doors. I asked when the new numbers would be installed, he didn't know. I called Cromwell, informed them of my necklace and the importance of being able to find my apartment. ***** said she would tell *****, he is the manager. Update: Numbers were installed on the 9th of July, 6 wks later and on front door only.

      Better Business Bureau:

The construction boss came by Tuesday the 16th and asked did I have a leak because he had never received a work order. I had put in 4 however due to website issues on their part I only have proof of 2. The workers did do some work however until it rains or storms I will not know for sure if it has indeed been resolved.

Looking at the maintenance requests. It says they contacted a technician.  First order on May 24th the second on May 31. I have pictures showing the same thing.

I believe I informed you of them finally attaching the apartment number, 6 weeks later and after I repainted the numbers.

I've decided to move at the end of my lease. A neighbor showed me their new lease agreement, raising rent $125, plus an added $75 utility fee.

Thank you your help. I honestly do not believe anything would have been done had the BBB not contacted them.

      Respectfully,

We have a major septic issue and Cromwell will not communicate with me on what is being done to resolve it. I first notified Cromwell via email on 12/28/23. There was a pool of standing water that was maybe 6 inches in diameter in the ***** field area and it appeared to me there could be an issue with the lateral lines. One of Cromwell's maintenance people was with me when I made this discovery. The pool and mushy area continued to grow. After 4 or 5 emails about fixing the issue, a septic guy was sent out by Cromwell in mid February. He told me he was there to see if the septic tank needed drained. I told him that was not our major problem and showed him the pool which was probably 5 feet in diameter at this point with a mushy area that was probably 25 feet long and 15 feet wide. After looking at it, he said the septic system was no good and the entire thing needed to be replaced. He said he would inform his boss and his boss would notify Cromwell. On February 23rd I sent Cromwell and email asking for an update as to what was happening. I included additional Cromwell employees on this email. I informed them what the septic guy had told me about the system needing to be replaced and asked what the plans were as the septic gas in the house was getting pretty strong. One of the employees I had added responded and said they would need to check with the owner about replacing the system, getting a bid and replacing the system ASAP.On March 11th, I sent an email requesting an update as to where we were in the process but I did not receive any response from Cromwell. On March 19th I sent another email asking about what was being done to replace the system. Again I did not receive a response.Currently the standing liquid cess pool is approximately 6 to 7 feet in diameter and the mushy area is still approximately 30 feet by 20 feet and includes the whole ***** field area.Still no response from Cromwell. I have included pictures in the emails I sent Cromwell.

      BBB,

The owners of this apartment complex have their own maintenance staff that handles all work orders. I have spoken to the head maintenance man and he said he has gone to the tenants apartment and spoken to him in person. **************** states there is no issue with the refrigerator and that everything is working fine. The tenant turns his temperature in the refrigerator very low and that can affect the appliance it it freezes.  The supervisor also states there is no mildew/mold in the apartment. We have pictures as documentation.

I have left a voicemail for the tenant and my assistant has as well to verify remedy.

We have been notified this has been handled by the maintenance staff so we would like the complaint removed.

      Thank you for your time.

      Sincerely,

      Leighton Cromwell
