Was given an a quote to install a new roof on my home by M.V. at centex roofing systems for $4700. I agreed and told him I was waiting on my money from the insurance company to come in to get the job started, he hounded me on the phone for over a week and finally I had to show him the information in order to get them approved to do the job. I got nothing from him, contract or an invoice. The work was not up to par and I have had shingles blow off already. Now I find out they raised to bid and are threatening to file a lien on my home if I dont pay. They are liars and cheats

We are unsure where the $4,700.00 number came from. We have a signed contract for $6,517.33 dated 2/10/2023 of which a copy was given to the customer at the time it was signed. We also sent a copy over to his mortgage company for funds to be released. A partial payment of $3,008.67 was released prior to the job starting, leaving a balance of $3,508.66 due when the job was completed. Work was complete per our contract on 2/24/2023. Approximately one week later, we had a storm which lifted some of his shingles that hadn't had time to seal due the the colder weather. The issue was remedied shortly after we were informed. This is about the cleanup after a new roof installed on 1/15/21. The old roof was metal with sprayed foam on the underside. The metal was attached to 2X4 strapping on the rafters which caused 1.5 to 2 inch space between the top of the rafters and the metal. When foam was installed it filled this space.More strapping was installed to facilitate the new decking. To install new strapping all the foam on the top of rafters was removed and the foam between the rafters was now 2 inches above the strapping so it had to be removed. All of the foam remains in the attic. Paid CEN-TEX $15975 for the job and they were to clean-up & haul off trash from roof daily. They are saying that they only have to remove the foam that was stuck to the metal roofing and not the foam that was remover from the structural lumber.Business response

At this time, we have tried to contact this person to make amends and try and resolve the issues. We called and left messages on Friday, January 28 and today, Monday January 31. If she will call us back, we will work on the problem.
