I recieved an estimate for roof replacement quoting one price, the next day a get an email telling me that it is invalid and I have to sign a new one at a higher price. They both read the same, no change in informaton on the date and the price and no one will tell be why. They say I have to check with my insurance adjustor but he did not write the contract nor provides any of the materials. He sent me a form with all sorts of buracratic gobbldey g*** that I do not understand and would not give me a direct answer.

      Business response

      04/06/2022

      Good morning, ******************,

I, ***********************, provided explanations as best as possible to you via email Tuesday, 4/5/2022, at 9:43AM, 10:14AM, 10:23AM, and 10:44AM as to why the cost went up from our original estimate. We had to match what your insurance company, ****************** quoted you for the roof replacement, which was the $7,712.12 (the 2nd roof replacement estimate you attached). This caused our first estimate of $5,784.57 (the 1st roof replacement estimate you attached) to be invalid, as it was sent BEFORE ***************** sent us a copy of their estimate, which is what your insurance **** ****************************** stated we must go off of in order for ***************** to be able to cover your roof replacement.

As explained by your ***************** **** ****************************** via email on 4/5/2022 at 12:50PM, a breakdown was provided (see attached email) and is also on page 5 of your ***************** estimate packet (see page 5 of attached ***************** claim paperwork for reference). Here is a breakdown again, and I sincerely hope this helps make things completely clear for you as to why the estimate is now the $7,712.12 (again, to match your ***************** estimate):

***************** cut you an initial check for $969.05. This is to be provided to Honey's Roofing, coupled with your deductible payment of $1,350, totaling $2,319.05.

Once we complete the roof work, we will then send ***************** a "Certificate of Completion". Once that is received by ****************** they will then provide you with the final check of $5,393.07 to pay Honey's Roofing for the remainder of your roof replacement. This check will be made out to you because you are the insured client, so you would need to deposit the check into your account, then pay that amount of $5,393.07 to Honey's Roofing to pay the final payment.

So, the only cost that is coming completely out of your own pocket is your deductible of $1,350, which you would have to pay regardless of what the estimate cost is - the rest is being paid by your insurance company, *****************.

I sincerely hope this clears up all of your confusion, and we'd love to continue to help you with your roofing needs, ******************.

Thank you, and have a blessed day!
