I have been a patient of Dr. **** for over 15 years, he is the absolute best at what he does EXCEPT for the hiring of his back office staff. Due to their incompetence I have lost over $10,000 over the same period of years due to their failure to file insurance claims in a timely manner. This last go round is the straw that broke the camels back, I had an implant crown come loose and according to them it would take too long for the insurance to give them the approval so I paid out of pocket and they were to reimburse me when the insurance paid them. Of course the insurance paid them and I have yet to see a dime. When I discussed it with their current office manager she said that it sounds like a personal problem and that she was not responsible since she was not there at the time and additionally Dr. **** is moving away from taking insurance so I needed to get over it since I would have to pay cash from here on out anyway. I will not be going back even though I absolutely LOVE Dr. ****.

The Patient was never told her problem was personal( all phone calls are recorded). We explained that we do not take BCBS Fed Insurance as the plan requires a secondary insurance filing and we do not take secondary insurance. We are a small dental office in practice for over 28 years and we are not an insurance shop. The patient signed a treatment plan with the fees and paid her bill. Now she alleges we owe her thousands of dollars. We asked her to gather her records and explain why she is making these allegations. She threatened to come to the office without an appointment to approach the doctor and was told under no circumstances do you ambush the doctor. We offered the patient an appointment and she threatened to sue us. We strive to help our patients and be transparent on fees. When a patient makes a broad allegation that we owe them $10,000 we take it seriously. Yesterday, the number was $12,000. If she felt this way, why hasn't she brought this to our attention sooner? We take all aggressive comments seriously and any individual who threatens to sue us damages the patient/doctor relationship.
