      We purchased granite for a countertop job in the amount of $1500 on September 28th, 2022. After nearly a month of promises and dates and excuses to get the job done, it was never completed. After contacting the manufacturer of the granite from where Fortunate Granite was purchasing it from, we learned that Fortunate Granite had not only purchased 2 of the wrong slabs, but did so knowingly and deliberately because our desired slab was not in stock. All of this was done without our knowledge or approval, yet we had already paid. Upon this discovery, we requested an immediate refund on November 3rd, 2022. Over the course of the last month, we have been promised almost daily that the refund will be issued, only for it to not fully come. The owner of Fortunate Granite has proven to be misleading, has over promised, and has not followed through on almost any of his claims. This entire process has been extremely unprofessional and tiresome. To date we have been paid $700, the last payment of $200 having been sent on November 21st. $800 is left on the remainder of the balance with no definite signs as to when it will be issued. All of this can be corroborated through text messages and through the invoice of the granite purchase.

      A very frustrating experience, I contacted them Jun 11, I was given a quote and told it would take **** business days to install the granite. I was asked for a quick deposit via Venmo so that they could get started and install quickly, I paid $1250 never received an invoice, no word for days, after repeatedly texting him and asking him about an install date I was given a few dates but nobody would show up or answer messages. Finally, on June 24th he showed up to measure and I was told installation would be within the week, I again waited as weeks passed by without the granite. After no response and several failed attempts at communicating on July 11 I requested a refund for my deposit, to this day (September 1st) I have not received the deposit back and no installation has happened either. Very unreliable and unprofessional, I paid and never received the granite. All I am asking at this point is for a refund for the deposit and he is not even giving me that.
