***** was hired to install a 27ft X 54" circular swimming pool. He was to begin work on Friday 6/16/2023. He showed up to discover that the pool we wanted installed was bigger that he thought. He said that he would return on Monday 6/19/2023 to begin the work. He also stated that because the job was over $2000 in cost he would need a $500 down payment. I *****'s this payment to him on the 16th. He did not show on the 19th due to vehicle issues. He sent my wife photos of his broken down truck He stated he would come AM on the 20th. He did not show up until late lunch time on Tuesday and began the work. He worked a few hours and stated his team was too hot and would be back on 6/21/2023 to complete installation. My wife asked the later in the evening if he was going to pier the legs to the pool as this was not done before the end of the day and if part of the set up. At this point he had the walls and legs up but did not have leveled pavers that is necessary before installation. He stated he would have them the next day. Again, he had a late start but completed the installation. During this process and through the end I asked him, if have the pool 1" unleveled would this be a concern. He stated "no". They began the fill the pool and ensure the liner was flat. Before they left I asked again if the 1" would be an issue. I have research online and 1" was an issue. The pavers were not leveled into the ground like they were supposed. We paid him, in cash, $1350.On the 21st he worked of the liner and started the water. He asked me how it looked and at that point it looked fine but I am not an expert.On the 23rd I was looking the the pool fill and saw that an entire column had buckled and did not slide causing extreme damage to the pool. I tried to contact him and he stated my wife was bashing him on FB. I stated I was not a part of that and I wanted him to stand by his craftsmanship and come to fix. He has refused to respond.
