Excellent locally owned business that went above and beyond for my family to repair a plumbing issue immediately while we were dealing with the passing of a family member. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I needed my entire sewer line replaced. They did the job quickly, professionally, and completely for less than half the cost of other estimates I received. Even with providing additional services, the total was still half of the closest competitor estimate!

We have been working with this company for 3 weeks too come out to fix a slab leak. When showing them the leak and where the water heater and bathrooms were mentioned that the pop off valve was leaking which was part of the est. There was no actual price on my est. and since it was listed on the est. I had no way of knowing it was not part of the est. I told the young man I am on a fixed income and told him to just go ahead and fix the rest of the leak minus the water heater. He said he was going to call his boss.....then he said they were not going to do the job and walked out. I then contacted the company and spoke with the boss who was not any more helpful than his employees.....he said he would go with his boys and not do the job. Also would not return the $90.00 I paid for them to come out to tell me I had a leak in the slab ( which we already knew due to the wet carpet)! I told the boss that I felt they did us wrong and would be happy to share my experience with everyone I knew. I would truly appreciate it if you would warn others as to how this company does business. The rating of 1 star is only because I had to leave at least 1 to be able to submit this review. Truly I give them 0 stars!

      Thank you!

      Wilbourn & McCabe Plumbing Response

Here are the events as they actually unfolded...
On May 31st, one of our techs visited the home on a referral from another plumbing company in town. We discovered he had a hot water slab leak. The next day, we called and got an email address to send an estimate for $2500 to repair their hot water slab leak. We were also given an email for an insurance agent, so we sent it to her as well. On June 6th, we received a voicemail requesting to be put on the schedule. We returned the phone call and scheduled them for June 8th. When our tech arrived on June 8th, the homeowner was standing on his front yard with his arms crossed and was not happy. Our tech began the process of familiarizing himself with the home. He asked the homeowner where the water heater was located. The homeowner stated that the water heater was supposed to be changed today while we were there. Our tech told him that there was nothing on his estimate about the water heater. The homeowner produced a copy of our handwritten receipt that was for the initial diagnosis. It also has details of what the initial tech found on his visit. There was no price for the slab leak repair on the estimate and only a note that the T&P on the water heater was dripping. Our tech went out to his van and got a copy of the estimate that we had emailed the homeowner. The homeowner began complaining about the cost of the estimate. He told our tech that we were charging a ridiculous price for someone that was on a fixed income. He told the tech to get started that he had already made a $99 payment on the job. Our tech informed him that charge was not a down payment on the job; that was the service call for the first tech coming out and we had not given them an estimate to do any work on the water heater. It was at that time, that the homeowner started yelling and cussing at him and, again, complaining about the price. The homeowner told our tech to "just get started" Our tech said he was not able to get started until there was an agreement about the price of the work on entire job. The homeowner said he was not going to agree to a price. Our tech felt like he was not going to pay us. Our tech went out to his van and called his supervisor and told him of the events that had unfolded. Our tech was instructed by the supervisor to let the homeowner know that we would not be completing his job because he had made it a hostile environment to work in and he would not agree to a price on the work to include the water heater. The homeowner proceeded to call our office and also yell and cuss at the office manager as well. She took his name and number and told him she would have the owner call. The owner called him and also had to listen to this homeowner be disrespectful and belligerent. He demanded his $99 back and it was denied.
