  I hired Guest Roofing in April to repair missing shingles from the roof ridge and hole caused from trees for $900. The work was done April 19, 2024 and payment was given to the roofer. In May the shingles on the ridge were coming off already. I called ***** Guest to report the problem so it could be fixed. The shingles had not ever been secured to the roof. He immediately informed me he did not warranty his work and would charge again for the same repair. He said he would go broke if he gave a warranty on repairs. I explained this was part of the work he just completed. He told me again he would not warranty his work. I told him had I known that I would not have ever hired him. He sarcastically told me, Well you never asked. I had another bid for $380 for the same job but thought Guest Roofing stood behind their work. When I told him I was going to report this to the BBB, he again sarcastically told me to report all I wanted to and that he didnt care. Then he just hung up on me. I still have the same roof ridge damage I originally hired him to repair as part of the $900. All I want is the work I paid for to be completed or a refund for $450 since all repairs were not completed properly. He demanded payment before his roofer left my property. Now I see why because of the type of work he provided.

  We repaired her roof. A storm came through and damaged the roof. She wanted me to fix it for free. I told her no. She didn't like it. Also we do not warrant repair work on an old roof. This is our policy. 

  The repairs were completed properly.

  I am rejecting this response because:
  I hired Guest Roofing to repair the roof where the trees had damaged it. After the bid and before they came to do the repairs, I hired a tree service to remove all the trees limbs off the roof. As previously noted, ***** ********************** insisted that I pay the roofer $900 for repairs before the he left my property the day of the job. The shingles on the ridge row immediately started falling off because they had not been secured, not because of a storm. When I called to report it to Mr ********************** he immediately told me he did not stand behind his work but I could pay him again to do the same repair that I had already paid for. He said he would go broke if he guaranteed his work. When I told him I was going to send in a complaint, he told me to complain all I wanted to because he didnt care. Then he hung up on me. This shows the type of work he performs and I guess he requires immediate payment because of the subpar work. I never asked for free repairs to my roof, I only requested to have the repair I had paid $900 for to be completed.
