On 2/10/23 I took my truck in to the shop. I had all my lights on on my panel. I asked them to check it, to do a diagnostic test.. They put in a new sensor. (When your lights are on like that it usually means its a clock spring.) One of the lights was the **/that is your brake system. They called me the next day and said it was ready. I went to drive it home and the ** brake system locked up on me in heavy traffic. I managed to get on a side road. They called a tow truck. They asked us to help pay for the tow charge. I do not feel that was fair. (The Ab break system needed the wheel ******************************* changed.) BUT since this shop does not do diagnostic ( Maximus 4.0 diagnostic machine) they did not have a clue what was wrong. Therefor we had to go to a different shop to get the repairs done. All my lights were still on my panel. We want them to take responsibility for my safety was at stake , as the ** brake issue was not addressed. That endangered my life.Business response

ON 2/26/23 CUSTOMER CAME INTO THE ***** HER CONCERN WAS LIGHTS ON HER DASH THAT COME ON AND OFF. SHE NEVER ONCE MENTIONED ANY MECHANICAL ERROR WITH THE VEHICLE, BUT SIMPLY JUSTS THAT LIGHTS AND NOTIFICATIONS WERE ON HER DASH. WE PULLED HER CAR IN, RAN A FULL COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC WITH A $10,000 COMPUTER, AND THERE WAS NO CODES, AS WELL AS TEST DRIVING HER VEHICLE. NO LIGHTS ON DASH. WE CALLED HER AND EXPLAINED THAT WE WOULD BE GUESSING AT THIS POINT, TO LET US KNOW WHEN IT CAME BACK ON AND WE WOULD GLADLY CHECK IT OUT AGAIN. WE DID NOT CHARGE HER THE $160/HR DIAG FEE, ********** HER HAVE HER VEHICLE BACK FOR FREE. A COUPLE DAYS LATER, CUSTOMER CALLED AND STATED LIGHTS WERE BACK ON DASH. AGAIN, NEVER ONCE MENTIONED ANY MECHANICAL ERROR. SHE STATED SHE DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE IT AND CALLED TO ASK US IF SHE SHOULD *** IT OR DRIVE IT. WE STATED THAT WE ARE NOT WITH THE VEHICLE SO WE COULDN'T DETERMINE THAT DECISION. THERE WAS NO REASON SHE COULDN'T HAVE DRIVEN IT, AGAIN AS THE ONLY ISSUE WAS WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH THAT WERE THE SAME AS BEFORE. WE CALLED HER A *** TRUCK AND HAD IT PICKED UP. ONCE THE VEHICLE ARRIVED, THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. WHEN A BATTERY DIES OR IS DISCONNECTED, IT CLEARS ALL MEMORY IN COMPUTER AND ANY CODES THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PRESENT. TESTED CHARGING SYSTEM AND BATTERY WAS DEAD. AFTER BATTERY INSTALLATION, APPROVED BY CUSTOMER, WE TEST DROVE VEHICLE AND NO CODES IMMEDIATELY RETURNED. CALLED CUSTOMER AND EXPLAINED TO HER AND SHE UNDERSTOOD AND PICKED UP THE VEHICLE. WE TOLD HER TO COME BY ONCE SHE PUT SOME MILES ON IT IF THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON. APPARENTLY THE LIGHTS DID RETURN AND INSTEAD OF HER COMING BACK TO US, SHE TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP. SHE NEVER CALLED US ABOUT THIS. SINCE SHE HAD A GOOD BATTERY NOW, ALL CODES WERE NOT ERASED AND PER HER COMPLAINT THEY REPLACED A WHEEL SPEED SENSOR. A FAULTY WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CAUSES NO HARM, NO DANGER AND TRULY NO ISSUES. HER COMPLAINT THAT HER LIFE WAS IN DANGER IS FABRICATED AND A LIE. HER RESOLUTION IS FOR US TO REFUND HER.. REFUND WHAT EXACTLY? THE *** TRUCK THAT SHE INSISTED ON US CALLING? OR THE BATTERY THAT WAS BAD? OR HER REPAIR AT ANOTHER SHOP? THIS WHOLE THING IS ABSURD.Customer response

I'm sorry this is not how I saw this situation.:
I took my Jeep in because the lights were on. Asking them to check them... to diagnose this issue. Check sensors. .
How was I to know there was a mechanical issue? I'm not the mechanic. The *** light should have been a dead give away. That is the brake system, that's why is was locking up and squealing. . (To repair that it was the Wheel Hub & Bearing Assembly & Sensor. Once that was fixed, all the lights except the Airbag light went off.)
The tow issue was: As soon as I left their place of business my *** brakes locked up, I didn't know that at the time that was what it was. So on a busy highway my Jeep started and continued to lock up. I finally got off the busy highway. I called the office and told them what happened? My car is locking up and squealing. The man said they could get a tow and that they would not charge me the full price for the tow. I had no choice my Jeep wasn't drivable. ( So they called the next day saying I needed a battery. I approved.)
Next day I got the car and drove home. within a month it started again, locking up. No I will not come back to this shop. I was in danger while stranded on the highway in heavy traffic.
I DID NOT INSIST THEY CALL THE WRECKER. Your employ volunteered calling the tow truck. There was no choice, my Jeep was not drivable.
The other shop fixed the (*** light) Wheel Hub & Bearing Assembly & Sensor. All the lights went off immediately, all but my Airbag light went off.
We ended up finding a Technician that specializes in technical issues. His machine is a Maximus 4.0 , diagnostic machine. HE found issues they did not see. There were wires not attached and burned wires. Bad connections.
The refund is for charges for services at this shop and the ones incurred because of things not getting fixed correctly.
