We hired Richard D*****, "From Rags to Rich's" to renovate our house. He brought "Rjc General Construction LLC" in to do the renovations in October 2021 for he felt he had the crew to get the project done faster. Rjc started in October 2021. He told us that the renovations would be completed in December 2021. However it was not. He then told us that it would be completed the end of January 2022. Richard D***** was part of the project to monitor and oversee it. Roberto, Rjc, was not licensed with the city of Dallas, so could not schedule inspections. So Richard signed on as the General Contractor with the city of Dallas. When calls where made for inspections, Rjc General Construction LLC was unable to pass inspections more then 7 times in the month of January for the plumbing. The electrical and mechanical was passed. During the month January, there were several days that no one worked on the house. By February 2022, the plumbing above ground did not pass. We got frustrated with Rjc General Construction and requested termination of the contract with the company. The owner, Roberto A****** requested a large payment to cover the work that he had done which was unjustified. He is now putting a lien on our property and just received an email stating he would pursue a lawsuit against us for payment. The payment he is requesting does not support the work that he did. He called Richard, who has taken over job of renovating the house, that he wanted to come and get his tools. He came to the house with 7 other people and took out windows and took the hot water heater. We have contacted a lawyer but Roberto continues to harass us with a recent letter of him filing a lawsuit and lien on the property. The work that he did on the property was not as he stated and several areas did not pass inspection. Which meant more work has to be done.Business response
