I hired Adam O***’s and his company “True Trenchless” on sept. 29th to do my sewage lateral Under my home and to the city main. After a prolonged amount of time when he said he would come out and we had NO water for 2 weeks waiting for him, he FINALLY got started. The employees came, dug, and repaired the pipe. After multiple times Adam called me to change the price, it jumped 6,500 more than what we agreed upon. I understand that additional items came up and I paid without hesitation. Other than the city having and issue because Adam and his company started digging in the street WITHOUT the city’s approval. This put me in a bad position as an owner because I had to later fight for an issue that he charged me more for because the city made him make a change last minute. That came out of MY pocket with their mistake. I paid it without issue after realizing it was either that, or I didn’t have water for even longer… Now the real issue and the main complaint is that they finished 90% of the job by November first. The last thing was that his guys needed to repair the driveway after all the trenching and damage that was done to it. (I paid for this already). The employees sat for half the day waiting for asphalt and it never came. They then told me they would come back on the 2nd of Nov. to finish the job. I waited TWO WEEKS until I finally reached out to him. I have called, and texted Adam directly each week to get this done and each time he has promised to come out a few days later and has never shown up on the promised day. It is now snowing and raining which is causing more damage to the exposed foundation and existing driveway which is not usable. This is the 4th time he said he would come out to fix it but he then tells me he is “too busy” with other jobs and that he will get me later. I have paid them a lot of money just for him to leave me with a 90% finished job and an unusable damaged driveway that has not been repaired like it says on the invoice I paid.

8/27/23 I received True Trenchless as a matching pro from Ang.com. After contact I received an estimate to repair & instructed to deposit 50% in order to schedule the repair. Given an estimate of 3 to 4 works to repair. Wednesday 6/28/23 deposit paid ($6,775). 6/30/23 confirmed via phone w/Adam he will schedule the repair once the permit from City of Tooele is obtained. 7/14/23 I contacted Adam via phone since 2 weeks & no word. Adam stated they would start the project Monday 7/31/23. 7/31/23 No crew showed up. I left a voicemail around 9:00 am and texted around 11:00 am. No response the entire day. I contacted the City of Tooele spoke with 3 different departments and they said no pending or current work permit for my address. 8/1/23 I was able to make contact via voicemail and text only, Adam was to contact me the next day (8/2/23 Wednesday). He did not. No contact from Adam for the rest of the week. I contacted Adam Monday 8/7/23. And stated I had lost trust in him and at that point just wanted my deposit back. Adam stated he would get back to me by the end of the day about the deposit refund. He did not. I sent a text the next day 8/8/23 asking for my refund or I will dispute the charge. 8/9/23 Adam texted no need to dispute they will issue a refund check and get it right out to me. 8/10/23 Adam texted billing goes out on the 15th my refund will be included. 8/11/23 I called the office spoke with Katie the office manager. She confirmed a refund check will be mailed out on the 15th. 8/15/23 I called the office spoke with Katie and she confirmed again she was to mail the check out that day. 8/21/23 No check had arrived. Spoke with Katie and she promised me over the phone the check was in the mail. 8/22/23 No check in the mail. I started a dispute with my bank. 8/24/23 I received an email from Katie stating I do not qualify for a refund, offering a $500 credit. I responded that I want my deposit in full refunded. And a check was never received.

**** was contracted to **** burst a new sewer line from my house to the street and hook the neighbor's duplex into the the line as it is a shared line.**** came out on 4/25/22 to finalize specs for the job and had his crew dig out one of the access points. He told me he would be back on 4/27/22 to do the main project. On 4/27/22 work started and upon checking progress early that afternoon I noticed that they had hooked up a new sewer cleanout to the existing clay **** behind my house which was supposed to be replaced. His workers told me that was what the boss told them to do.I called **** and he told me "Sorry you had to find out that way." Excuse was size of the machine and something off in his locator and he couldn't actually burst the **** all the way to my house. Never bothered discussing with me.This is the bait and switch. He proceeded with work knowing he could only do half the job with the sole intent of getting financial hooks into me.The following week I was pretty sketched out and wondered if he even had a *** approved permit for the work. I called ******************** and there was an open permit with pre and post inspections scheduled for 5/9/22. I let them know he had already done half the work. That quickly got me to a supervisor and then the inspector.According to the inspector, the morning of 4/27/22 **** called and told him he had an emergency with a complete sewer stoppage at my address and needed emergency permission to start the work which was given. There was no emergency, 4/27/22 is when **** planned to do the work.He cheated me out of the proper protections of the pre-inspection. I end up with a half replaced sewer line. **** contracted another business to install a liner in the non replaced section. As of 9/16/22 I have a caved in excavation area **** refuses to address and the sub-contractor is planning to file a lien on my property because **** never paid them.

True Trenchless has worked with **** to resolve this complaint. Unfortunately, his sewer line project was a special circumstance in which we had to alter our original plans to complete the replacement. It wasnt something we couldve anticipated, and in no way were we attempting to hide or cover up the situation, or leave the work half complete. Rarely, but unfortunately in this situation,  conditions were different then what could be seen through our initial inspection. Because of that, we were forced to contract out a portion of the sewer line work. True Trenchless covered the costs associated with the third party work, rather than charging the customer.
Regrettably, there were some miscommunications in the office which caused an issue with payment to the contractor, but the issue was resolved as soon as the owner received a phone call, and the third party has been paid in full.
The small sink hole that **** was waiting to be addressed has been taken care of. Had we received any calls to the office letting us know this issue was time sensitive we perhaps couldve got it wrapped up faster (we were in no way refusing to address this quick fix- We have a full schedule and have to prioritize emergency projects or clients with no working sewer).
**** has a new, fully functional sewer line, permitted, inspected, and installed by city specs. He has a lifetime warranty on the work we provided.
