In the last ~4 months I have lived without working air conditioning for the majority of this time which I may add are the 4 hottest months of the year. I initially submitted a maintenance request for broken AC on 6/23/22, and this repair was not completed until 7/12/22. I sent the property manager multiple emails not to mention phone calls asking when I might expect these repairs to be completed as I do work very long hours, and it was getting impossible to sleep in my apartment in 80 degree temps. Most importantly, I informed her that I do have a brachycephalic dog in the unit that cannot tolerate being in this warm of temperatures. As you can imagine, this caused a noticeable burden on my life and well-being as I do work in healthcare, and as stated am required to work long hours this inconvenience disturbed my sleep and required me to wake up early every morning so that my dog could be babysat during the days, and not in the apartment due to the heat. Following the first maintenance request that took nearly a month to complete, the AC went out yet again leading me to believe that it likely was not properly fixed to begin with. I submitted another maintenance request for the same issue on 8/11/22, and today’s date is 10/3/22 and the AC has still not been fixed nor has the manager attempted to schedule a repair, communicate an estimated repair date, nor acknowledge my concerns or replied to multiple attempts at corresponding with her via email and phone message. I would also like to voice a complaint about the pool. The pool did not open until the end of July, and was only acceptable to use for a few weeks after it had opened as the water turned swamp green. The pool water was never maintenance, and remained green until it closed shortly after Labor Day. I acknowledge that per the rental contract you are required to submit 60 day notice to vacate the premise; however, I will say that this detail was not something that I committed to memory when signing my lease.
