As of November 30th I signed a leasing contract with Annie Apartments to move into Unit 1 on December 6th. I showed up with a uhaul and they said my unit was still under construction. They temporarily put into unit 3 saying it was free since it didn't have a functioning heater or blinds or curtain rod for the shower. They said they needed a week more to finish my unit 1. They sent me a new lease to move into Unit 1 as of December 13th. I signed it reluctantly since they didn't change the prorated rent rate but the office staff said it would change upon move in. Upon the day of the thirteenth they asked me to pick up keys in an email and I had to inform them myself that my unit was not habitable and still under construction. They then ghosted me and didn't send anymore leases or tell me when my expected move in date would be. I read my lease and sent them a formally written notice of termination as of December 22nd. I still didn't have a finished unit by then and I wanted a home for the holidays. Luckily my old landlords liked me enough to rush me back in on short notice. They still have not replied to anything. I recorded every interaction. They have told me I cannot terminate my lease. I can provide you with my leasing agreement and it states that I can since I haven't received a formally written notice of delay of occupancy. Which I have requested many times. They sold an unfinished unit to my neighbor as well he just so happened to be an acquaintance of mine and he said "we are being scammed". The office staff and maintenance men are in shock at the situation since they have never worked for people that sell unfinished leases. I have recordings of their stance on this issue. They are doing this to most every new tenant. A man named Mike sold me the lease and has called and bullied me for leaving a bad review about this on their website and told me to take it down. He refuses to connect me with a supervisor or HR. I am at a loss here. I can give you more evidence.

Business harassed and forced me into signing a contract without allowing me to view first.(They kept calling me multiple times, at various hours of the day and night). They increased the price from what was advertised, and sprung it on me after the fact. If I had been allowed to view first I never would have signed anything and would have gone somewhere else. Pricing is not the same as paperwork and advertisements state.
